Additional seropositive animals at Hughes Creek included 1 northern flying squirrel (Glaucomys sabrinus), 1 golden-mantled ground squirrel (Callospermophilus lateralis), and 1 western jumping mouse (
Zapus princeps).

In addition to Microtus, we captured Peromyscus maniculatus, Tamias minimus,
Zapus princeps, Urocitellus spp., Sorex spp., Thomomys talpoides, Myodes gapperi, and Tamiasciurus hudsonicus.
To avoid potential impact on the endangered Preble's jumping mouse (
Zapus hudsonicus preblei), all captured jumping mice were identified to species and then released immediately without being marked.
