In mid-August, this writer had the opportunity to tour some of the rebuilding sites in Harare, Kwekwe, Gweru, Bulawayo, Masvingo and Mutare--right across the country.
The capital city is Harare and other major cities include Bulawayo, Gweru, Kadoma, Kwekwe, Masvingo and Mutare.
And in the central lands of Gweru, there is Zimbabwe Alloys which mines and refines ferrochrome.
The research collected the data mainly in Masvingo town although some of it was collected from Gutu , Gweru, Bulawayo and Harare.
In Zimbabwe, from Gweru (the capital of the Midlands Province) to Harare, a distance of 275 kms, although there are four towns on the way (Kwekwe, Kadoma, Chegutu and Norton), every piece of land on both sides of the 275 kms is white owned (except a few kilometres of state land used by the army for training purposes).
