Ernie Ball Strings!

Ernie Ball strings have been a top choice for players of all types since the early 1960s, when guitarists came into Ernie Ball's music store, customizing their string gauges to make their axes easier to play. After fruitless attempts to interest major guitar manufacturers in a lighter set of strings, Ernie Ball decided to start making his own. When you open a pack of his strings today, you know you're getting a quality set of strings designed to give you great tone, reliable performance, and long life. You can't go wrong when you string up with Ernie Ball strings!

Ernie Ball's Slinky electric guitar strings are made from nickel-plated steel wire wrapped around a tin-plated hex-shaped steel core wire. The plain strings use a patented winding of bronze wire tightly wrapped around the lock twist of ball end for reduced slippage and breakage, making them slightly bright. They're popular with artists ranging from Keith Richards to John Petrucci. These Skinny Top Beefy Bottom Slinky strings are perfect for players looking for beefier low end, while optimizing bendability on the higher strings.

I buy my candy from Sweetwater...

I order my Tootsie Rolls from Sweetwater...and they always throw in a set of guitar strings! They're so nice!

These are my strings

I am a highschool musician who has a strat and a Les Paul. I ONLY use these strings. I play mostly metal, but also play jazz, folk, funk, and rock. These strings handle all tuning and give a lot of good tone. 10/10 best of both worlds - soloing and rhythm guitar.

Experimenting gone right

A spur of the moment purchase to drop one of my guitars to D-standard and I love it. I recently outfitted both of my guitars with Ernie Ball strings and I love 'em! But back to these; they feel great on my hardtail LTD which has a 25.5" scale and I'd say it feels comparable to 11-48 in E. I play with James Hetfield's White Fang with a 1.14 gauge so your mileage may vary. The feel is gushy in a good way. I find I'm hitting the strings harder than I normally do because they feel so good. Definitely check these out!
Music background: Learned guitar through YouTube and Guitar Hero about 7-8 years ago. Also a drummer of 10 years.

Perfect for 24.75" scale length

These have been the best set of strings that work well for Drop C# and or Drop C on a 24.75" scale length for me.

Perfect Set

If you're mainly a Rhythm player, but want to play leads once in a while, then this is the perfect set for you! Or Even if you're a player who plays in Drop tuning's, but don't want to struggle too much with the higher tension on the top strings! Ernie Ball never disappoint!
