Ernie Ball 2216 Skinny Top Beefy Bottom Slinky Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings - .010-.054 Reviews
Ernie Ball strings have been a top choice for players of all types since the early 1960s, when guitarists came into Ernie Ball's music store, customizing their string gauges to make their axes easier to play. After fruitless attempts to interest major guitar manufacturers in a lighter set of strings, Ernie Ball decided to start making his own. When you open a pack of his strings today, you know you're getting a quality set of strings designed to give you great tone, reliable performance, and long life. You can't go wrong when you string up with Ernie Ball strings!

These are my strings
I am a highschool musician who has a strat and a Les Paul. I ONLY use these strings. I play mostly metal, but also play jazz, folk, funk, and rock. These strings handle all tuning and give a lot of good tone. 10/10 best of both worlds - soloing and rhythm guitar.
I buy my candy from Sweetwater...
I order my Tootsie Rolls from Sweetwater...and they always throw in a set of guitar strings! They're so nice!
Experimenting gone right
A spur of the moment purchase to drop one of my guitars to D-standard and I love it. I recently outfitted both of my guitars with Ernie Ball strings and I love 'em! But back to these; they feel great on my hardtail LTD which has a 25.5" scale and I'd say it feels comparable to 11-48 in E. I play with James Hetfield's White Fang with a 1.14 gauge so your mileage may vary. The feel is gushy in a good way. I find I'm hitting the strings harder than I normally do because they feel so good. Definitely check these out!
Perfect for 24.75" scale length
These have been the best set of strings that work well for Drop C# and or Drop C on a 24.75" scale length for me.
Perfect Set
If you're mainly a Rhythm player, but want to play leads once in a while, then this is the perfect set for you! Or Even if you're a player who plays in Drop tuning's, but don't want to struggle too much with the higher tension on the top strings! Ernie Ball never disappoint!
