2K is working on an "unannounced remake", spurring speculation about its identity. That's according to the LinkedIn profile of a motion capture animator currently employed by the studio.

Spotted by MP1ST (thanks, Eurogamer), the developer in question cites experience working on a bunch of AAA titles that you'd expect, like WWE 2K24 and NBA 2K24, as well as upcoming ones like the next BioShock and Mafia games. But what has drawn the eye of interested observers are the two unannounced projects, one an "unannounced remake" and the other referred to as "a sports title". The LinkedIn post appears to have been updated since the initial reporting; it now reads "upcoming unannounced title".

Eurogamer notes that it's been almost a decade since the legendary BioShock trilogy received the remaster treatment. The original game (while excellent) was released in 2007, and a complete remake actually sounds quite appealing. MP1ST reminds us that traumatic shooter Spec Ops: The Line was delisted from all digital storefronts earlier this year, apparently due to expired licenses, which could also make it a potential candidate.

Is there a particular 2K title you'd like to see get the remake treatment? Do BioShock or Spec Ops seem like potential contenders, or is there something we're missing here? Let us know in the comments section below.
