Before you can begin to make money with Vehicle Cargo, you'll need to buy a Vehicle Warehouse. There are 9 Vehicle Warehouses you can buy. They are:

La Puerta Vehicle Warehouse
GTA$2,735,000
LSIA Vehicle Warehouse
GTA$2,170,000
LSIA Vehicle Warehouse
GTA$2,300,000
Davis Vehicle Warehouse
GTA$2,495,000
Murrieta Heights Vehicle Warehouse
GTA$2,850,000
El Burro Heights Vehicle Warehouse
GTA$1,635,000
La Mesa Vehicle Warehouse
GTA$1,500,000
Cypress Flats Vehicle Warehouse
GTA$2,675,000
Elysian Island Vehicle Warehouse
GTA$1,950,000

The best Vehicle Warehouse to buy will depend on the location of your Office, but it's recommended you select one with good road access that's as high up the map as possible. This is because you'll generally be travelling north to deliver Vehicle Cargo, and will largely need to travel along the highway to do so. You'll also be spending a lot of time travelling between your Office and Vehicle Warehouse in order to complete Vehicle Cargo missions.

Once you own a Vehicle Warehouse, you'll need to complete the setup mission which will explain the loop of how to make money with Vehicle Cargo. Effectively, your goal is to Source Vehicles and then sell them on. In order to launch a Vehicle Cargo mission, select your Vehicle Warehouse from the computer terminal at your Office and select the Source Vehicle button. Before you leave your Office to steal the car, you can speak to your Executive Assistant and have them arrange your Personal Vehicle be delivered or stock up on Snacks.

There are a number of different types of missions you'll need to complete in order to acquire Vehicle Cargo, however in almost all instances you'll need to return it to your Vehicle Warehouse without damaging it. Any damages that you do incur, you'll have to pay for.

Once inside your Vehicle Warehouse, you'll be able to access your computer from the business' office to see your stock. There are three types of Vehicle Cargo you can source: Standard Range, Mid Range, and Top Range. Each type can be exported for different sums of money, ranging from GTA$30,000 to GTA$100,000. There are 32 different vehicles in total, and they will never duplicate:

Standard Range
10 Vehicles
Mid Range
10 Vehicles
Top Range
12 Vehicles

Because the vehicles don't duplicate, you can effectively fill your Vehicle Warehouse with the 20 Standard Range and Mid Range vehicles if you don't Export them. This will ensure that any time you launch a Source Vehicle mission, you'll be guaranteed to get a Top Range vehicle, allowing you to flip it to make more money. Therefore, you should only ever Export Top Range Vehicle Cargo.

You should also only ever Export to the Specialist Dealer. You'll need to pay for some High End Modifications upfront, but this will guarantee the largest overall profit. Just like when stealing the car, any damage you take while making the delivery will be deducted from your overall sale. One good idea is to purchase a Cargobob (See Also: Best Cars and Vehicles to Buy and Own), allowing you to transport the Vehicle Cargo in the air, thus avoiding any potential crashes that can occur on the road. Do be aware, however, that rival players will be able to see that you're Exporting Vehicle Cargo on the map, and may try to attack you.

GTA Online: Best Backlots and Garages to Buy

While you're dealing with goods as opposed to vehicles, the Special Cargo business is setup similarly to Vehicle Cargo. Once again, you'll need to buy a Backlot or Garage to store your products. These are divided into three types: Small, Medium, or Large. These all hold different amounts of product, and you can own five Backlots or Garages at once. We'd recommend purchasing two, as there's a five minute cooldown associated Crate missions that can be avoided if you own more than one. As you can only conduct one Sell mission at a time, however, owning more than two is overkill.

In terms of the best Backlots and Garages to buy, we'd recommend purchasing a Large and a Medium, and selecting a location that's near to your other businesses, including your Office and Vehicle Warehouse. This will allow you to travel between all three quickly and effectively.

Once you own a Backlot or Garage, you're going to want to fill it with product. You can choose to acquire 1 Crate, 2 Crates, or 3 Crates at a time. Buying each Crate individually incurs a smaller upfront cost, but takes more time. Therefore it's recommended that you purchase 3 Crates at a time. While this is technically less profitable, it's a quicker method to making money with Special Cargo.

In order to make money with Special Cargo, you'll need to launch a Crate mission, collect the Special Cargo, and deliver it to your Backlot or Garage. Be aware that other players can and will try to obstruct you, so consider using an armoured vehicle like the Karin Kuruma (Armored) or Nightshark (See Also: Best Cars and Vehicles to Buy and Own) to at least give yourself some protection while trying to deliver your Crates.

Once you've collected some Special Cargo, you'll be able to sell it at a profit. Stockpiling more Special Cargo will attract higher bidders, so always sell to the most profitable buyer. If you're playing solo then don't flip more than 9 Crates at once, as you'll need to operate multiple Delivery Vehicles and won't have time to complete the transaction, losing precious profit.

While trying to sell Special Cargo, you may be attacked by rival players and businesses. One thing you can do to combat this is by interacting with the red toolbox in your Backlot or Garage and purchase Delivery Vehicle Upgrades. These are spread across Trucks, Planes, and Boats to encompass the different mission types you'll encounter. You can also consider hiring Associates to help protect you while you work.
