Autobots and Decepticons are coming to Overwatch 2, thanks to a new Transformers crossover that rolls out on July 9. Blizzard Entertainment teased the collab back in June alongside the launch of season 11 of Overwatch 2, and a new trailer for the crossover released Monday confirms who’s going to be who.

Bastion, the Overwatch hero who could most reasonably be described a Triple Changer, will take on the role of Bumblebee. Illari will get an Arcee skin, and tanks Reinhardt and Ramattra will get to dress up as Optimus Prime and Megatron, respectively. Based on Blizzard and Hasbro’s teaser animation and a recently released lore comic, that appears to be the extent of the collaboration.

Four skins is pretty much on par with previous Overwatch crossovers, which have brought Cowboy Bebop, One Punch Man, K-pop group Le Sserafim, and brands Porsche and Lego to Blizzard’s team-based hero shooter. Blizzard hasn’t revealed how much Overwatch 2’s Transformers skins will cost, or if players will get any of them for free through gameplay.

As with other Overwatch 2 collabs, Blizzard has explained that the heroes of Overwatch are simply cosplaying as characters from external properties; players won’t literally be playing as Arcee, Bumblebee, Megatron, and Optimus Prime.

Overwatch 2 is available to play for free on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
