Virtua Cop, also known as Virtua Squad in North America, is a singleplayer and multiplayer rail shooter game developed by Sega AM2 and published by Sega. It is the first entry in the Virtua Cop series.
Originally released on Arcade in 1994, it was ported to PC by Sega PC, and first released in Japan by Sega on October 25, 1996, followed by releases in North America and Europe in January and February of 1997 respectively. It had also received reprints from MediaKite in Japan and Expert Software in other regions.
The game's setup will install the NV1 version (incompatible with DirectX) if an Nvidia graphics card is detected. Use NATIVE.EXE

Intro video not being rendered
- If the title screen is left idle for long enough, the intro video plays, but only sound can be heard, the video itself is not rendered. This happens because of the Indeo codec which is not included in the newest versions of Windows.
See Troubleshooting guide. |
