Men of War: Assault Squad 2 is a singleplayer and multiplayer bird's-eye view RTS game in the Men of War series.

On August 25, 2016 a remake of the original Men of War campaign and scenarios were made available as a DLC for the game called Assault Squad 2: Men of War Origins. Alongside the release of the DLC the game engine was also upgraded to feature new DirectX 11 visuals.[1][2]

The game's EAX support is handled through DirectSound3D, requiring restoration programs to work.

Verified using RTSS and the Steam copy of the game, both in its Normal mode as well as Safe Mode. The game only makes use of Direct3D 11. It is doubtful that the game ever made use of D3D10, however it might have originally used D3D9 as prior entries in the series. The original D3D9 mode was most likely removed back in 2016 alongside the graphics upgrade the game received with the release of the Assault Squad 2: Men of War Origins DLC.
