It does exactly what it says on the tin, it changes The Courier to a female. I tried to locate and change anything that references The Courier as male to female as well, if I have missed anything please let me know and I'll update the patch when I can, as I haven't totally 100% explored all of DUST myself and just went through the notes/loading screen files manually. I could've missed a few. I also edited one specific note to make the Courier seem a little more sympathetic.

Now the obvious question is why? Well the answer's simple: Some players had a female Courier, and probably want the Courier in DUST to match that. I'm genuinely surprised no one has made a patch like this, or at the very least I couldn't find one myself. If you don't like the Courier being female, just don't use the mod.

I've also made some changes to The Courier's dwelling, whether they've gone insane or not you'd think the place they've holed up in would look... Well, a little more lived in. Nothing major, just some simple accommodations you'd expect someone with a long history of surviving in the wasteland to have: Work and ammo bench, storage, a hotplate, and a place to sit.

There will be an optional file in the future that tones down The Courier's aggression some, the plan is she will still attack you if you get too close; but won't outright kill you on sight. Mostly just for people who don't think the Courier would turn in to a total raving lunatic, and would maintain some degree of caution. I'll make adjustments to how you obtain the additional loot added to the area via the Expansion Project to reflect these changes. The only reason it isn't being released alongside the mod is I am running in to trouble with the cell's navmeshing.

As for compatibility, really as long as nothing extensively messes with the cave interior, the Courier themselves, or the aforementioned notes/loading screens I don't see anything that would really conflict here. Even then, the edits to the cave are contained to a small area.

And, before it gets asked, I have zero plans to make any patches for the Courier Companion mods for the time being. That being said, anyone is free to expand on this mod however they want, there really aren't that many edits given The Courier is only mentioned in a few places. I just wanted a quick and clean option for people like me who want it for immersion's sake.

DUST - Expansion Project is required for this mod, I don't know why you'd play without it any way, it adds a lot to the DUST experience.

There is also an included fix for the Lucky 38 Checkpoint Securitron crash in the file.
