"Dust to eat, and dust to breathe and dust to drink. Dust in the beds and in the flour bin, on dishes and walls and windows, in hair and eyes and ears and teeth and throats..."

This mod consists of approximately 35 musical tracks of various styles. Tracks have been individually selected to ensure they are in the creative commons or public domain, with open permissions. This information can be found detailed in the track list credits file, with specific permissions/sources/and fair usage.

The theme of the tracks in the mod are a wide mix of old jazz, blues, 20s pop, Dustbowl ballads, and a few assorted tracks.

The in-universe intermissions are voiced via 11AI.  All writing is "authentic." They are disabled in the "No Intermissions" file. All audio was generated based on a single clip of my own recorded dialog. I would prefer to have voiced the lines for the acted scenes myself but cannot currently produce what I consider releasable work in my situation. Please download the no intermissions voicefile if you have a problem with this usage or wait until I am able to record natural voicelines in the future, hopefully a few weeks after the initial release (which I moved up for testing reasons.)

"THERE WAS A VILLAGE BUILT OF CRUMBLING CLAY AND ROTTING WOOD AND IT SQUATTED, UGLY, UNDER A BROILING SUN LIKE A SICK AND MANGY ANIMAL WANTING TO DIE.
THIS VILLAGE HAD A VIRUS SHARED BY ITS PEOPLE.
IT WAS THE GERM OF SQUALOR, OF HOPELESSNESS OF A LOSS OF FAITH.

FOR THE FAITHLESS, THE HOPELESS, THE MISERY-LADEN THERE IS TIME, AMPLE TIME TO ENGAGE IN ONE OF THE OTHER PURSUITS OF MEN.

THEY BEGAN TO DESTROY THEMSELVES."

- Twilight Zone, Season 2 Episode 12, "Dust"

All night the wind blew and the fine dust set their teeth on edge. Sand in everything, grit in all they ate. In the morning a urine colored sun rose blearily through panes of dust on a dim world and without feature.

- Cormac McCarthy, An Evening Redness In The West
