Can someone explain how to edit the pak file to set the exact rate of dirtiness? I was able to open it in WinRAR and Dragon UnPACKer but was not able to edit it
Just open my mod pak with WinRar or w/e archiver you're using, pullperk_rpg_param_override__staycleanlongerptf.xmlto desktop for example.
Open it with any text editor (Notepad++ recommended). Edit:rpg_param_value="16000"to whatever you want. Default is 4000.
Save your changes and drop that .xml file back to my mod pak you've got it from before, confirm overwriting old files if/when asked. Make sure you're putting it back in correct place (ie. .pak\Libs\Tables\rpg\)
I have used this mod without any problems before and have always installed manually. This time though was the first time while using the official HD Texture Pack DLC. I've been exploring, fighting and doing the usual stuff for over a week ingame time since I installed this mod, and I still can't wash myself and am still clean as a baby's leg. Could the HD Texture Pack be the culprit?
Let me ask you now i'm using a lot of mods board and that caused the game to crash the map and i suspect it's because my mods are in conflict. I will write down the mods I use below and can you guys help me find the problematic mods below using me? These mods I write in the mods text file and paste it here. It seems that the mod just prevents you from getting dirty. The mod starts working as intended when you put in a new value in the xml-file. I also must say that I've only tested this while other mods were active.
Edit: I tested this with no other mods installed and the mod only starts working when you edit the xml-file.
I'm having an issue where I add the mod to the Mods folder and when I start the game, it says the mod is old so it gets moved to "mods_old", idk if I'm doing something wrong but I haven't found any way to fix it
I wish this mod worked as intended for me. ): It seems to just disable getting dirty completely.
I was surprised after reaching Talmberg (running from cumans) Henry's clothes were pristine. They didn't even look damaged, which was weird? But I didn't think to check their condition... I don't know if other people are better at dodging arrows than me but normally I get there and he's covered in dirt and holes, hah.
The only other mods I have are No Reticle and Unlimited Saving (no schnapps vers)
First of all, this mod works perfect, i never got dirty, even after doing very questionable things, which jesus wouldnt approve. But then i thought, maybe a little dirt would enhance the immersion. does anyone have a suggestion to what number i should change the default setting? (for example to get gradually dirty ..)
Try 10000 or something like that, thats 2.5 times higher than vanilla. Then go from there to find value that suits you the most. Mod is set to 16000 which results in getting a little bit "dusty" after going from one end of the map to the other, if I remember correctly.
thank you for responding, also i would like to give a small update for the community. i installed this mod with vortex and i never got dirty, even when i changed the number. Then i installed it manually, changed the number to 10000 and it worked. idk why it didnt work with vortex, i dont use any other mods. Anyway, thanks again for this great mod! i dont get instantly dirty anymore! :)
That is interesting. I didn't play KDC for a while now, so no point for me to download the game just to try to figure out what might be wrong with Vortex installation. I'm gonna put note in the description that it might not work properly unless installed manually. Thanks for letting me know.
I have copied this thread over to Bugs tabs as well for more people to be able to maybe find out. From my experience reading comments is something not a lot of users do...
is there any way I can make it so I never get dirty ever? I always got mad looking at the npcs with perfectly shinny armor while me with a mod I get dirty very easily it seems maybe the mod doesn't work because I set the value to 65000 and I still get dirty
StixBone The problem is that when I download the file there is no such ''Libs" folder there is only ''Stay Clean Longer - PTF-1232-1-1-1617526068\StayCleanLongerPTF\Data''
StixBone Omg, literally need to open the file with winrar, I had understood that it was just to extract with winrar and then open it with notepad, I didn't even know it was possible to open something by selecting winrar that way. Thank you very much for the explanation and sorry for wasting your time with my stupidity.
Hi, is there any chance you could add a function to allow our weapon to be cleaned when we wash ourselves? It's annoying and stupid to do it exclusively at a grindstone. As far as I know, there's no other mod that does this.

Instructions for changing the values are still same as well and they do indeed work.
