DOWNLOAD UROINSTALLER

Download the UROInstaller files from the "Files" section of this mod-page.
The image below shows an example of what the file looks like in the file section.
You can see its name, the date it was uploaded, and the version number.

This information can be useful to quote if you're submitting a bug-report
or if you're not sure if you have the newest version of UROInstaller.

When you're ready, click "Manual Download" to download the package to your PC.
Make sure you save the archive in an easy-to-remember place!

EXTRACTING AND STARTING THE INSTALLER

The archive you have download is a .ZIP file.
This is a compressed file that needs to be extracted before it can be utilised.
To do this, you'll can use either 7Zip or WinRAR.
If you don't have either of those, you can do the following:

Right-click on "UROInstaller_Vx.x.x.xxx.zip"
Select "Extract All..."
Select "Extract"

Now that the archive is extracted, it should appear as normal directory/folder which you can open.
Open the directory, and run UROInstaller.exe by double-clicking it.

BASIC OR ADVANCED

When the installer opens, you will be greeted by a welcome screen.
On this screen, you can choose between 2 different methods of installing URO:

Click the button of you're preferred installation type and you'll be taken to the next screen.

SELECTING MODULES AND LOCALISATIONS

Regardless of your installation type choice,
you'll now have to select which modules and localisations you wish to install.
To see the details of what each module provides, see the main mod-page.

Please note that localisations are only for the Perks module at this time.
If you attempt to install localisations without installing the Perks module,
the localisations will not be installed.

To select modules/localisations to install, simply click their corresponding check-boxes.
You can install as many, or as few, as you like.
Unchecked options won't be installed.

ADVANCED INSTALL - PARAMETER TWEAKING

The advanced installation type allows users to tweak certain game parameters to their liking.
This is intended to extend default URO and changes preset values of the mod.
If you just want to play URO with the recommended preset, restart the installer and choose basic mode.

Currently all parameters are derived from the CORE+COMBAT module.
If you did not select it in step 4a, select it now to be able to tweak parameters.

Parameters can be changed either by moving the track bar to the desired value,
or by inputting a value to the boxes on the right-hand side of the menu.

In the above image, the Starvation Threshold parameter is being tweaked.
On the left is the parameter name and description, informing you what it changes.
In the middle is the trackbar which can be used to change the value.
Both the vanilla value, and the preset URO value are also shown.
On the right is the current value of the parameter.

You can tweak as many parameters as you like.
As more UROInstaller updates are released, there will be even more parameters to play with!

INSTALLING URO TO YOUR MOD DIRECTORY

Now that all your settings have been chosen, it is time to actually install URO!
This step is very important.
If the wrong directory is chosen the mod will not install correctly.

Firstly, you need to find where your Kingdom Come: Deliverance game is installed on your PC.
Typically, this is located at the following path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance

However, it is not guaranteed that this will be your path!
For example, if you have installed the game on a different drive,
the drive letter (in this case 'C:') may be different (e.g. 'D:')
You NEED to make sure you have the correct path for your game's install!

Once you have located the correct path, you need to add a "mods" directory
so that the KC:D engine can locate URO and run it when the game starts.
To do this, navigate to your game's install path and create a new folder called "Mods" or "mods".

Now that you have a mods directory, you are ready to install URO!
In the Installer, simply select the "Browse" button and locate your new mods folder.
Press "Ok" and the installer will show the path in the text-field.

Now, click the "Install" button.
You should get a message saying that your installation is complete!
You can check that the installation worked by navigating to your mod directory.
There should be a new folder titled "UltimateRealismOverhaul" there.

"THE INSTALLER WAS SUCCESSFUL, SO WHY IS THE MOD NOT WORKING?"

This is caused by a problem in your mods directory.
If this problem occurs, the KC:D engine isn't recognising that the mod is installed.
You need to make sure that you have the correct path for your game's install!
The mods folder should be located in the root directory of the game's install.

"WHY DID I GET AN ERROR APPEAR IN THE INSTALLER?"

This is caused by having your Mods folder, or a previous URO installation directory
open in Windows File Explorer when running the install.
Try running the installer again and make sure all file explorers are closed.
If you still receive an error, try deleting your mods folder and all of its contents.
Create a new, empty mods folder and run the installer.

"CAN YOU INCLUDE <PARAMETER NAME> IN THE NEXT INSTALLER UPDATE?"

If it's a parameter that exists in the game's file somewhere then yes, I can!
Simply PM me, or post your request on the "Feature Requests" discussion topic!

"I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING ON THIS PAGE, WHY ISN'T MY INSTALL WORKING?"

If this is the case, then there may be a bug in the installer version you are using.
Please PM me directly, describing your issue in detail and I will help you fix it ASAP!
