It does replace your entire profile, yes. That means if you want to got back to your profile afterwards you need to keep it in a safe place and plop it back in afterwards. It should only be the regular playmode but it's easiest to simply copy the entire folder.

If other people want to use that save, make sure to duplicate your original save just in case (The save from the mod is in normal difficulty).
