Here's how I'm using ReShade (5.3.0) with Vulkan now, only without depth buffer access.
You have to set in-game shadows to low. That's it. With everything else on Ultra settings, switching shadows to low boosted my fps from 35 to 100. Certain ReShade shaders do seem to eat a few fps in Vulkan. But even so, the performance is way better than OpenGL for me.

Did you have to do anything else to get Reshade running with Doom? I've got Doom and Reshade both running the opengl versions, and I have all the shaders, but I'm just getting a black screen. The HUD still shows up and is responsive, but no picture behind it. If I flip effects on and off for a while, sometimes I can see an image, but it's all messed up.
The same thing happens with just Reshade installed with no shaders or presets, even if its toggled off.
Mostly 4.9.1, but I did try a couple of earlier versions, too. I'm seeing another guy on Carmack's Reshade having almost the same problem recently, so it's probably nothing specific to your files. I'll try updating my GPU drivers later and see if that helps.
Very Nice reshade, like it alot, did a playthrough of it on the channel and just waiting for it to process fully. looks amazing! is there one for doom eternal as well?

for sure, it's really good, i definitely will endorse and showcase the doom eternal one as well. Nice work on this! I usually do my own Nvidia Freestyle versions but just got reshade mainly for the ray tracing. loving it so far!
