Have been using it in my own playthrough and haven't seen any random crashes.
Issues with mods are almost always interactions with other mods touching the same behavior.
Are you also using auto pickup or simple pickup? If you are swap this fix version out for them instead, don't have multiple mods managing pickup functionality.
