im a bit late and idk if my reply would even be useful, but you can download the playable Female NPCs mod. Select the Eva skeleton and with this mod, you can play as Dark Eva. For her blood veil, use Cheat Engine. Here's her blood veil string in the dump file:
i wanted to ask what did you mean by Playable Female NPCs mod? i looked and there are a few for certain NPCs like EVA herself but i wanted ask to be clear on what that mod/link is x.x
also is there a way to edit the gear without cheat engine i personally dont trust third party programs that have alot of other stuff in it that windows flags as a trojen

I found out, what causes the issue. Teleporting to any location at the Crown of Sand (or loading into it from the title screen) while having the Standard EvaVersion as a companion with this mod installed lets the game crash. The dark version and alternate versions are working fine.
