Today Mark talks about how the creature types were assigned for Bloomburrow, and shows off a pair of rare Frogs. Mechanics article is also here to show off what old and new mechanics appear alongside the critters of Bloomburrow.
dreamdew entracer is so good! Tap one of yours inconsequential 1/1 token to draw two... and possibly repeat every turn if you worrywort in play. Geee... or triple stun your opponent every turn with the same combo. If you the duo at the pre-release, you are practically unbeatable.
Three Tree City is basically Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and Gaea's Cradle for Kindred decks. Nice. Can we also talk about how Clement, the Worrywart enables Spore Frog to become a mana dork to cast creature spells and sac itself to prevent all combat damage to potentially flash something in like Haze Frog which also becomes a mana dork with Clement, the Worrywart? In a 4 player Commander Pod you could essentially prevent two combats in one turn rotation. Also If the mana curve of your Commander deck with Clement, the Worrywart is 4 or less then Aluren is absolutely busted or If your Commander isn't on the battlefield you have Cloudstone Curio to fill the void.
Clement seems to mostly care about not just bouncing creatures to hand for more ETB / LTB triggers but to flash in creatures to get more creatures onto the battlefield for value with the mana only spent to cast creature spells as long as they are Frogs. Omnibian with an untap combo engine could literally turn your creatures into mana dorks to get more creatures onto the battlefield. Since Clement wants to focus less on instant and sorcery spells, why not run Primal Surge to get the most value? Yes it's 10 mana but the payoff is definitely worth it. The moment I saw this card I just had so many ideas flowing into my head. This Commander could be Chulane, Teller of Tales levels of insanity and I love it.
"Restriction breeds creativity." - Sheldon Menery on EDH / Commander in Magic: The Gathering
"Sometimes I think it's a sin when I feel like I'm winning but I'm losing again." - Gordon Lightfoot
"Most men and women will grow up to love their servitude and will never dream of revolution." - Aldous Huxley, Brave New World
"Every life decision is always a risk / reward proposition." - Sanjay Gupta
Here's the Collecting article no one reads, bringing us Three Tree City across the seasons (just like the basics) and Seasons of Weaving in borderless form.
Finally, lost in the brambles of the Card Image Gallery are these friends, and regular frame treatments for Thunderclap Trainer.

It says 'up to one', so you can return zero creatures.
