Dawn of the Tiberium Age (DTA) is a stand-alone mod that combines and enhances Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert using a heavily customized Tiberian Sun engine. Featuring all 4 factions (GDI, Nod, Allies and Soviets) with extremely polished gameplay, DTA allows you to mix and match the factions as you'd like in tons of new multiplayer maps and challenge yourself in dozens of original missions. Since this is a stand-alone mod, you don't require anything but the mod itself to be able to play: the original game is not required.

Less of TD/RA1 difficulties and more of TS/RA1 difficulties

TD, at least for Nod, tended to be very gimmicky and unforgiving without right mindset

Correct. Particularly, "TD Hard" for Normal difficulty is overstated. Should be more like "RA1/TS Hard" instead. Maybe I'll update the image at some point.

Is this true for the remastered collection too? I felt like i had a easier time playing RA then TD.

Yes, it's particularly with the remaster in mind. Original Tiberian Dawn as released in '95 had no difficulty levels at all, it only had what we know as "Normal" difficulty in the remaster.

Oooh nice. DTA missions are always hit and miss for me, the difficulty for sure is a part of it (Like the final two missions of the Soviet campaign tipping over my level). But for me it the tendency for some missions to get really spammy. So I really like this ^^

A single tank attack is a tragedy; an 8-tank attack group is a statistic.

Description

Traditionally, DTA singleplayer missions have got criticism for being too heavily aimed for experienced players. Competitive players have often enjoyed it, but it has scared more casual players away from our missions.

With Covert Revolt, we have paid special attention to resolving this through difficulty levels. The lowest difficulty levels should be beatable for anyone who has played through Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert 1 on Normal, while the hardest difficulty levels will provide the familiar "DTA experience"™.

The percentages tell the relative intensity of each difficulty level. To give a simplified example, an enemy tank group might scale the following way:
- on Easy they would attack with 2 tanks
- on Normal with 3 tanks
- on Hard with 4 tanks
- on Brutal with 6 tanks
- on Extreme with 7 tanks
- on Ultimate with 8 tanks

All CR missions only use 4 difficulty levels of this scale. Most missions range from Easy to Brutal, a few range from Normal to Extreme, and a couple range from Hard to Ultimate. The hardest missions are unlocked by performing specific actions during the story and the increase of difficulty from walking down that path is clearly communicated to the player.
