Does the skybox reconstruction or Sky rotation influence the weather or the the change of the sky in any way?

I am try to pinpoint some troubles, i am having some minor issues with the light of the sun at dusk and dawn (it is as white as noon sunligth), also some times the skybox seems to get stuck and don't change from dusk to night, it only get darker, for example, if i get a skybox at dusk (19hrs) that is cloudy and you see the reflection of the sun in the clouds, instead of changing to a night sky, at 22hrs still the same skybox with the reflecting clouds but way darker.

No, the code is only used to create the sky reflections.

I hope the source code for Heat Vision comes out so your custom exe can work with it!. It's like the only engine based mod that isn't covered. :(

Sorry, but I can't do anything. For the moment we can just wait for the Heat Vision dev to includes my modification to his custom exe.

Asci,

I'm trying to use Enhanced Shaders with this (clean installation for testing) but everytime I have the SSAO on it breaks the lightning on architecture - basically the shadows / textures in shade become pure black. Switching off SSAO completely immediatelly restores normal shadow surfaces.

My standard shader build is 2dSB Scopes > Beef NVG > Grok Masks > Screen Space Shaders (yours) and normally all is working perfectly. I'm now trying to test ES on a clean test install and while I'm using the correct order and patches from Beef nvg and SSS, the ES seem to break the SSS part of your mod for me.

UPDATE: it seems that your newest update is the culprit.
I've just overwritten 8.1 with 7.2 and SSAO is working again in tandem with ES.

UPDATE 2: I restored backedup BIN folder and it seems that 8.1 is working ok too.
It's the ES, I would like it to work but it seems to be really quite buggy and unstable; an utter headache trying and get it to work properly in tandem with other addons. Sometimes I can't turn grass shadows on, sometimes grass becomes black, sometimes SSAO does black, sometimes a random crash. What's your experience with it?

The AO shader is the same for both versions, not a single line has been changed... Not really sure what can be happening, maybe a video can help me to identify the problem.

I'm generally having issues with ES - they do seem to be pretty buggy.
Sometimes I loose the SSAO (seems like I can get it back by restoring BIN from backup), sometimes the grass shadows stop working etc.

I like some of the things it does but struggle with others, for instance the PBR looks great on guns but breaks distant landscape into a horrible while glow.

What is your experience with it?

At least the official release here in Moddb works fine in my end, I'm using ES while working on my mod, it's my default setup ES + Beef NVG + SSS. But ES do a lot of things and some users have problems.

by the way, do you think there's anyway to make ES only render the PBR effect in a radius around the player, in order to prevent breaking distant landscape in sunny weathers?

I think is possible, but not something easy to do... Not my territory anyway, I'm just talking with a minimum knowledge about ES internal functionality...

The shaders are compatible with 1.5.2, the only incompatible thing at the moment are the optional custom executables. I'm going to update the package very soon, but I'm waiting for more mods to be updated, only DLTX and Shader Based 2D scopes are 1.5.2 compatible.

Anyway, If you're using Shader Based 2D Scopes, you can use right now the executables available on Github.com

Hey first time user here, I'm not certain what I'm doing wrong. I've tried everything from choosing all option available to manually installing the mod with the appropriate choices of main file + file merged together (ES and Beef's NVG)

I've made sure to have Beef's NVG load first then SSS then ES, but still I'm unable to see anything in-game, except for light sources. It's just pitch black.

I've scoured the comment section here for any clues on how the load order should be or even installation process is but no dice.

I'd love to see what it'll look like because this sounds like a better option for performance than forcibly injecting effects from Reshade. I'll just go back to my previous setup until I'm actually able to see some clarification because something isn't working here for me.

The correct load order is ES, Beef's NVGs and SSS, be sure to install the patch 00 - MAIN FILE - Patch ( ES & Beefs_NVGs ).

Hi, I've tried your load order getting the same result. I thought this time to maybe try installing the mod with the Main - Patch only, I might've been interpreting the labels as a separate patch file instead of a whole compiled main file. (So main then main-patch, instead of just main-patch)

This time I'm getting a shader compile error this time around, so I'm getting something different at least.

Edit: I managed to make it work by reinstalling Beef's NVG with their proper patches for it, as well as changing the load order to Beef first then ES, I'm not sure if this will actually make it work but I can at least see what's going on...

You have to install the 00 - MAIN FILE and the patch file 00 - MAIN FILE - Patch ( ES & Beefs_NVGs )

Yep, I went back to that option and fixed up my Beef's NVG.

It looks ok at the moment but I'll have to fiddle around a bit more it looks like...

By any chance, would having BnS make this different? I saw that there was a separate custom exe file that was included in this mod

Looks like you're using the ES patch without ES installed... Or maybe in a incorrect load order. If you're using ES, the correct load order is ES then SSS.

Asci, do your screen space reflections work with ES pbr version?
I'm still not giving up on ES and figured out what the issues were before (GTR textures addon optional parallax shader conflicts with ES + your mod - the joke's on me for missing it in the description).

I have everything working together in principle now but since ES were added I cannot see anything of your screenspace reflections anymore, no matter how much I tune them up from the settings_SSR file.

Is that part of your mod overridden by ES perchance?
check out a quick and dirty comparison from ES tuning and testing Imgur.com

I'm always using the ES PBR version without problems... The only way to broke the SSR is by overwriting the "combine_1.ps" file and lose the call to SSFX_ScreenSpaceReflections.

Didn't see anyone commenting about this yet, but your mod conflicts with the wet surfaces fix mod from CryoManne see the image. Imgur.com
Even tho the description of his mod says to let his to overwrite anything still needed to bring this to see if a compat patch is needed or if i wouldn't lose anything by letting his mod to win the conflict.

Change the line 69 from my file "rain_patch_normal.ps" to "float s = shadow_rain( PS, WorldP.xz - WorldN.xz );" and you're done merging the changes from wet surfaces fix.

Yeah the author knows, I noticed it sadly when the custom exe's for his adon released. The creator for Heat Vision hasn't made his source code publicly available, so people cannot incorporate it into their custom exe's. We have to wait for the Heat Vision creator to either update his addon and make it open, and or for him to release it's source code to Ascsii1457.
