Renegade's Mods bring a new life to Lost Heaven...
Renegade's Mods are my 6-year work with a Mafia editors and an adjustment of default freeride.
Renegade’s Traffic Improvement
As the name implies, this is a modification that aims to "dig" the original ride in the city and the country. Part of the mode is the adjustment of the camera's view of the character, traffic and pedestrian setup.
I also added better textures of water and trees (thanks to Fowner).
The camera adjustment works with the Widescreen fix and is set to 90°, so more of Tommy's character is visible.
Regarding the traffic setup, I added and changed the following:

Bonus: Water Shader Mod 2.0 and exploding barrels, improved trees
This mode can only be used independently, so it cannot be added to the Remaster mod without custom modifications.
Project Upscaled - Car Textures Pack 1K&2K
As the name suggests, this is a project that aims to increase the resolution of car textures. There are two options to choose from – 1K and 2K texture packs.
Both packs contain the same data, only the resolution of the main car textures is different. All cars, tram and subway have increased texture quality. There are also textures added that may not belong in the pack but I wasn't sure and added them as well. These are sails and truck bodies(?), possibly lightning textures (Mutagen FWD contains the lightning00.bmp texture, but there are more of them, so I added them all just to be sure).
The cars are as similar as possible to the original model and license plates from Mafia Definitive Edition have been added. Many thanks to my good friend and graphic designer Mathe for this edit. I also thank the modder MadmaxGamer for the original car textures.
Use 1K textures with Remaster Mod or other mods, because 2K textures are only stable when used with simpler mods.
I tested the textures in driving and in the story using the Remastered Mod / Community Modpack, the game was stable.
Real Car Brand Names
As the name implies, these are real names of car brands and their mentions in the game. All names are translated according to a certain website about the game Mafia, or my own more detailed modifications of the names.
The car encyclopedia is translated, the list of cars when choosing in the drive and mentions while playing the missions in the story line - "Steal a Cadillac", Learn to steal a Stutz Blackhawk, etc.
The modification is only compatible with the game in version 1.2, in Czech, English and German languages.
Alternative sounds of the Thompson submachine gun
As the name implies, these are modified sounds of the Thompson submachine gun. A friend TosKo used Audacity to combine the sound of the original gunshot sound, which is common in the game, and the sound of the gunshot, which can be heard during the cutscene in the Bon Appetit mission. Furthermore, he also adjusted the charging sound that Sam uses during the cutscene in the mission Death of the Arts.
Installation & Appendix
Installation
Copy the files to the folder with the Mafia game where the libraries (DLL files) are.
For 1K and 2K car textures packs, rename the folder to maps and copy to the game.

My modding road started to be written in 2018, when I wanted to modify driving in the city and the country. I contacted a couple of Mafia modders and started writing my story. I have released a few editions of my mod over time, but so far I have not been satisfied with them. Last year (2023) I started thinking about whether the graphic side of the game could also be changed and how. I was helped again by some right people and I started working with the editors and I am creating a new virtual world of Mafia. Since there was a slight complication, I stopped working and I am publishing what I have for now. I have upscaled 1700 textures so far. Some look better, some look worse. The complication is that the game crashes on Windows even at 1024x1024 texture resolution. I also provided my textures (some of which I already modified) to modder PashOK for his RTX Remix project. That's why I'm thinking of switching to RTX Remix and starting to edit textures at 2K resolution (512p, 1024p textures to higher resolution). I will not post the textures, except for the 1K and 2K Car Pack, trees and water, as I will probably still be editing them. But first, I'm waiting for the RTX Remix update, only then I'll work. For now, I will enjoy the summer and return to Mafia in the fall. Everything is in the stars and in my PC 😊

Known issues: some of car textures have a mirrored license plates (I don't know why and can't be able to fix that myself), if you're using a textures with Community Modpack be aware that it's necessary to remove models files Speedee, Flamer and Disorder.
Mod is working only on v1.2

Do i need to use MafiaDataXTractor on the 'dta' game files ?
I was thinking about the car textures mod.
Hi :) no problem, just open and close dataxtractor in game folder, it will patch a rwdata.dll file and then please create folder maps and put the files into it or just rename a downloaded folder (cars pack) to maps. Done
