First Strike is a Star Wars total conversion modification for Battlefield 2142. EA just killed Revive which takes away any hope to continue First Strike as a BF2142 mod.

The revive launcher currently still works, but not for long for BF2142. The downloads have already been shut off. Without the ability to offer an easy to install download, the Revive team can not get the player base it needs to get donations to support the servers. Without a master account server, BF2142 won't work properly. BF2 will continue to work offline, so a scaled back port of First Strike might be possible, but it would be very limited with no capital ships or mechs.

Ok, so the SP mod appears to run better in windowed mode. you can change the settings in the Revive launcher.

These are the results of generating Menumaps with a new tool by Worldlife. First Stike has never had menumaps that represented a map overlay like in standard BF2 or BF2142. Currently, the tool generates with a BF2 style format. I created custom FS icons for the CPs. and tried out a few maps. I think with a little tweaking that these could be nice.

I am thinking lose the mini-map window and the non-combat area and it would be great. I will try to see if the tool will do that and post some results.

I have new client and server files. They are based on the files that have been tested. I would like to get some more people to test it. I am Looking for someone that can host it and run through the maps with a few friends before I release it public. Just hit me with a PM.
I am also working a separate single player focused version mod. I am adding in a lot of stuff that I have been playing around with such as Zombie mode, new maps, expanded sp suport and more. I will post it up as soon as its ready.
