MOD DEVELOPMENT AND TIMELINE OUTLINE IS BELOW!

Elite's Conflict Mod v1.3.3 is currently in development! We look forward to presenting finalized corvette changes, starfighter/bomber/interceptor updates, further refined galactic conquest maps, and to reintegrate better multiplayer support.

Elite's Conflict Mod v1.3.2 was released on July 22nd, 2024. This release focused on general rebalancing, experimental corvette changes, and better galactic conquest maps. Other changes were also implemented based on community feedback.

Elite's Conflict Mod v1.3.1 was released on January 30th, 2022. This release increased stability through optimization, code corrections, and bug fixes. As well, a number of balance adjustments and format testing have enabled future success. Standardizations are now being implemented to streamline balance, unit variety, planet variety, and other features.

Elite's Conflict Mod v1.3.0 was released on March 25th, 2021. This release featured six galactic campaigns, a redesigned galactic map with new systems, new units and unit descriptions, starfighter overhauls, population and income adjustments, a multitude of balancing adjustments, additional compositions, hundreds of errors, bugs, and crash fixes, and so much more!

Elite's Conflict Mod v1.2 Demo #2 was released on July 4th, 2019. It features a new population system, new galactic campaigns, and new space units for both the Rebel and Imperial factions. As well, a variety of description updates, bugs fixes, and other changes were implemented.

Elite's Conflict Mod v1.2 Demo #1 was released on December 22nd, 2018. This release was a major jump in content and quality for ECM. It featured a number of balance changes, model and texture updates, new galactic conquest maps, remastered music tracks, new planets, expanded lore, and a number of smaller adjustments to the base game.

Elite's Conflict Mod v1.2 Closed Gamma was released on February 10th, 2017. For this release, our dedicated testers provided plentiful feedback which allowed us to polish ECM. While the Closed Gamma focused on new models and textures, it also continued our goal to critique balance and add more content to the game.

Elite's Conflict Mod v1.2 Beta was released on August 4th, 2016. It featured new maps, units, and planets as well as a ton of bug and balance updates. Massive amounts of feedback from the community and the expansion of our mod team allowed us to develop many aspects of this game that previously would have been impossible to work on.

Elite's Conflict Mod v1.1 was released on June 5th, 2016. Our goal for ECM v1.1 was to utilize player feedback, giving us the opportunity to fix issues we didn't find prior to release. It also allowed us to finish content that wasn't quite ready for the previous release. Thank you to all of the fans who commented or messaged us about what they would like to see or any problems they had.

Elite's Conflict Mod v1.0 was released on May 12th, 2016, and was a great success. We accomplished many of our goals and learned a lot from a smooth release and this wonderful community. We created a new balance system and awesome mechanics, added more lore, new units, new compositions, updated descriptions, and names, created a recolored user interface, added new planets and maps, and a lot more to an aging game. We are happy with the achievements we've made but we continue to strive for perfection for our fans and for ourselves.

  • Elite's Conflict Mod: v1.3.2 Upcoming Release
    • Since the release of ECM v1.3.1 two and a half years ago, we have taken a bit of a hiatus while real life kicked in. Regardless, this has given us plenty of time to listen to your feedback and adjust the mod to be more fun, easily accessible, and balanced. This update is a decent step in the right direction on all three of those fronts; some of the changes are detailed below:
      • Overhauled Galactic Conquest maps for Singleplayer (Home World Conflict, Galactic Holomap, and Training Protocol)
        • Maps (An Empire at War and The Rebellion Era are still WIP) but they are playable
      • Completed rebalanced Corvette class ships including (CR90, DP20, DP37, DP37B, and Tartan I)
        • Tartan II, CR100, IPV-1, and the Crusader/Etti are next on the list
      • Added a new GC mission set called Legacy Missions
      • Added a new GC map that is still WIP called The Rebellion Era
      • Fixed errors with the EF78 being on fire
      • Implemented a new text format for our Corvette class ships, a change which over time will be added to all vessels if you enjoy the new format
      • Added new abilities to Corvettes and Starfighter/Bomber Squadrons
      • Space Population value changes (now 200 for the Rebel Alliance and 180 for the Galactic Empire, up from 150 for both factions)
      • Changed yellow fonts to ECM orange
      • A massive amount of backend work to improve game stability, clean up bugs, reduce errors, and make the code cleaner
      • And as always, even more that is detailed in the patch changelog!
  • Elite's Conflict Mod - The Road Ahead
    • After this release, HEROIC Studios will continue working on ECM v1.4.0 for more revisions and new content. Specifically, we are looking to round out our unit roster, complete our 100-point structural rebalance/text updates/gameplay additions, Galactic Conquest map roster, and increased Multiplayer support. Здравствуйте, я сыграл 1.3.2 хотелось бы новых юнитов для империи желательно героев, предлагаю убрать Боска и Бобба Фета они ведь наемники а не чистые имперцы.

Good news everyone!

As of today, Elite's Conflict Mod v1.3.1 has been fixed on the Steam Workshop to properly work as other mods do. This should reduce the complexity of installation and launch for all of our players.

Additionally, the installation instructions provided with our previous download files will still work if you do not play Empire at War: Forces of Corruption through Steam.

Quick question, why do we have on both sides venator class star destroyers?
To me its kinda idk dumb, and they are exactly the same... no color markings or anything its just two same ships firing at each other..
But all aside i still like the mod its just that one thing lol

Edit: now i can see the red color on the rebel ships, must have been a bug or something...weird

We have had some trouble with the multi-coloring that we are aware of. Ideally, the Galactic Empire would be able to build the ship at anytime and the Rebel Alliance would only be able to build it sometimes and it would be their modified or stolen versions.

If you could explain more on what's happening, it may help us resolve this issue in future patches.
