Run. Think. Shoot. Live. Source. Black Mesa is the Half-Life 2 total conversion of the original Half-Life game. Utilizing the Source engine and its endless array of possibilities and powers, Black Mesa will throw you into the world that started the Half-Life continuum and introduced Gordon Freeman to the world as a gun-toting, bullet-dodging Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics.

Like a modern research facility -since it is!
I actually liked this place, and I think "On a rail" was terribly boring..
Looks cool, but the difference isn't that huge with the HL1 version, it is jusst like if the lightings were a bit improved and textures updated. You accustomed us to a more complex level design reinvention in the past time. Still, it looks great.
this was the most boring place in the game.. And you make it AWESOME!! Catn wait to see xen in source :D
Oh man, these screenshots bring back so many memories. I TOTALLY remember this room.
needs more curves, trim and less clutter eh JP ;)
More modernized.
Good!
They even brought back the old doors :D .

Not after BM's Dev's ,Will fix that  D: .
Man i'm getting impatient. I can hardly control myself. Someone Help MEE!!!!!
Sweet! Preserves the "clean" look and feel that the original area had, while still being nicely detailed!
Love the huge pipes on the ceiling. What's holding them up, though?
