This is the biggest update we have ever done, but keep in mind that the update is meant to be used for the BTW grand campaign, which started yesterday, June 7th. It should be noted that the prices for the new factions are meant for that purpose, not for multiplayer casual games.
With that stated, if you wish to see the new factions you have to switch between the campaign and the normal user.script.
With the release of the BTW 2.2 update we are proud to announce that this is the biggest update we have ever done. The new content of the update includes:
- Around 700 new units just for the campaign
- 340 new unit cards
- We have permission to use the models for the french and Prussian uniforms (we got them from the TGW dev team)
- We finally added the Mitrailleuse for France and the Haubitzen for Prussia
Bug fixing:
- We have solved the zombie uniforms we knew of
- CSA army UI bug no longer exists
- Squares have been given to the units that lacked them
- Some names that weren’t in the right language have been translated
- Some units have been merged or removed so that armies are easier to build we have removed those units that have similar counterparts in the same faction:
France: The 3 Zouaves have been merged into 1 regiment Trialieurs d'algiers and leger d’africa have been merged 18th chasseur regiment has been removed a hussar and a chasseur a cheval have been removed 8pd have been changed into 4pd since it is what they had historically melee stats of the chasseurs have been reduced melee stats of the chasseurs a cheval have been reduced Prussia: Guard Schutzen removed (we left the guard Jäger) Guard Füsilier battalion removed (we left the guard Füsilier regiment) Foreign regiments have been removed Füsilier battalions now have 300 men Oldenburg dragoon, 16th Ulhan, landwher Ulhan have been removed prices have been reduced a little bit after some tests proving that Prussia was not op but actually weak (I was wrong and ney was right) Russia: Naesburg regiment has been removed Unit caps of the guardsmen have been set on 1 Unit caps on the guard cavalry have been set on 1 17th light has been removed mounted cossacks melee stats have been lowered Unit caps of the Foot cossacks have been set to 4 UK: highlanders no longer have square Prices have been raised for the units with square ability
- [14:08]Balance changes:
- Saxon reload has been nerfed
- Italian shooting stats and ammunition have been lowered
- Guardsmen unit cap has been reduced to only 1 on the categories where there are several regiments
- Acceleration has been reduced for most of the units so that it is harder to get out of a melee if you do it at the last moment.
- Rally ability has been raised to 2 uses (it can be changed again if there are convincing arguments, some people argued for 3 and some for 1 so we went for the middle ground).
