Got the series for christmas and am playing through them all, completed 1, its fantastic, playing through 2 at the minute, its unbelievablely good! Also got the special version of 2 with the making of dvd, cant wait to see that! I was wondering though, are origins, downpour and homecoming worth getting?
SH 2 is amazing.It will make your standers amazingly high for the next games but sadly the other games are bad.SH 3 is okay but SH 4 is disgusting for me.Homecoming has a good plot.I like how it goes.

Thanks for the invite (: And I'll start by telling that I've played every silent hill and 2 is my favorite, 3 comes second, Homecoming, Origins and others in some order which I don't care. :DDD
Thanks for the invite, but I've never even played any Silent Hill games. Are they actually legitimately scary games or are do they just offer a few cheap jump scares here and there like F.E.A.R.?
its better then fear: buy them used from your gamestop(us) or if you live in europe in the gamemania(eu) i recomend you silent hill 1,2 and 3 those were the best silent hills and maybe even silent hill origins(the only silent game that tom hullet didnt screwed up)
Alright, I will definitely consider this series.
Silent Hill 4: The Room was the last good one. SH4 and origins both had a myriad of bad gameplay decision choices but I guess it doesn't really matter because its the story and scares that we are after. Origins had a decent story but that aspect of the series was alot more competently handled in Silent Hill 2... so you'd be better of playing the first 4 in order.
my personal fav is silent hill 2 and 3, yes 4 was not bad eather, aswel for origins but the bests are indeed 1, 2 and 3, all silent hills after origins were **** thx to tom hullet (hes now gone from team silent) he was bad in making silent hill games the only silent hill game he actualy did good as an decent silent hill game was origens, all after like silent hill homecoming, shattered memories (**** remake from the first one)and downpour were no good silent hill games.
