Jul 1, 2024Over the album’s 52 minutes, Megan sprawls out, mining different aspects of her identity and personality at her leisure. It’s exciting when she enters new territory.

Jul 8, 2024MEGAN doesn’t really match her most memorable projects. The music doesn’t match a multifaceted generational talent, and the result is a record full of what feels like compromise. Nevertheless, the Hotties get many new great songs to enjoy, and Megan and her team get proof that the rapper can successfully take her sound in many different directions, even if that proof is interspaced with much more filler than it should be.

Jul 5, 2024While Megan strays somewhat from the formula of invincible confidence and crowd-pleasing summer anthems that we're used to from MTS, its moments of bitterness and uncertainty do a lot to humanize the larger-than-life rap queen, one whose head has grown heavy from wearing the crown.

Jul 1, 2024Free from Good News’ and Traumazine’s burden of rewriting the narrative around her, Megan could benefit from time and space to rest, play, live, and further define who she is for herself out of the public eye — so she can make stronger choices on wax. Regardless, Megan is a vibrant coronation for her hottest summer yet.
