“I just had a baby six months ago. Everybody was telling me to take the year off. To be able to come out here and be the national champion once again, I’m just so proud of myself.” Femita Ayanbeku won the 100m T64 at #ParaTrials24 with the time of 13.01. Let’s go #Paris2024 💥

Women competed for the first time at the 1900 Paris Olympics. In a full circle moment, Paris 2024 will be the first Olympics in history to achieve gender parity, with the same number of female and male athletes participating. 👏 In partnership with Athleta, we’ll celebrate this momentous milestone and spark new conversation around driving equality from the field to the boardroom. Inflation is felt in all directions, every day, by every one, and here’s yet another sobering example—the price of period products have nearly doubled over the last five years. With prices up, sales have sadly dropped because millions simply can’t afford their periods and are having to decide between fresh sanitary products and food. The price of pads rose 41% and tampons 36% since 2019—and that’s on top of the “tampon tax” that still exists in 22 U.S. states. When women can’t afford sanitary period products, they face both mental and physical health risks, shame and stigma, and they miss work or school during their periods. It doesn’t have to be this way. Raise awareness. Support brands that make it their mission to fight #periodpoverty. Donate products when you can. Try sustainable period products. Advocate for change where period products are still being taxed at the highest rate. As long as girls and women continue to pay the unfair price for this natural body function, equality can never be reached.
