#CMAABuildsBetter, and accordingly, the second annual Leaders Summit was held in Scottsdale, AZ last week to #buildbettercommunity. The event brought together Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) volunteer leadership (Board of Directors, Foundation Board of Directors, CMCI Board of Governors, chapter leaders, CMAA Fellows’ leaders, and members of national committees and task forces) for leadership education and development. Goals include: • Strengthening the connections between Chapter activities and national objectives, as well as Advocacy • Building trust and strengthening staff-volunteer relations • Providing education on the roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities of volunteer leaders • Disseminating information and messages into the national volunteer leadership network CMAA Baltimore Officers Bret Hadzimichalis, PE, CCM and Gail Prunier attended as Chapter representatives, along with David Wissmann, CCM, ENV SP who serves on the CMAA National Board of Directors as Chapter Performance Subcommittee Chair. This opportunity allowed us to connect with fellow leaders, exchange ideas, and strengthen our commitment to advancing the Construction Management industry and our chapter. The energy was inspiring and we look forward to continuing the conversation at the 2024 CMAA National Conference in San Francisco Oct 27-29!
