Great new video's WilsonC! Loved them!
Just one very small remark, and that is the blood. I am a huge fan of blood and gore in games. But the way it is shown here is a bit to and or unrealistic. It looks like a large flat blood sprey when a enemie is hit. really hope you will think about changing this because it looks unrealistic, while everything else is very realistic. Other then that, great stuff. Glad to have seen this new update again, was a bit quiet. But that is ok, we all have lives outside of our game development lol.

Thanks, the blood is placeholder at the moment - it's low priority though so haven't replaced it yet. Particles are a bit tricky in UE4 - have to make them small enough so they don't fill your screen up close (overdraw kills performance), but big enough so you can notice them from far away.
Glad to hear it is a placeholder, didn't know UE4 is a bit tricky with particles. But i assume you will come up with something great ones you get around to working on that.
Thanks for asnwering!
Leon
Yeah it's super tricky compared to older engines like Source. In CSGO a whole team can spam smoke grenades onto one concentrated area and my fps barely takes a hit. While in UE4 I add in a few overlapping smoke planes and my fps drops from 60-25 haha
That's the alpha testing + polygons up close stretched far beyond screen, if you want to fix that you have 2 options:
1. scale particles as player gets close
2. make HUD screen effect that will imitate particles close to screen
Also effects in Source are fake, it's similar to solution 2 here.
really odd for the UE4, have downloaded UE4 months ago but still haven't taken a lot at it. Will do so soon because it looks like a very decent engine and with lots of free stuff to use as indie dev.
Slide tackle one dude, then jump kick another behind him ftw.
I did see the physics, they look pretty damn good, I don't remember seeing something so dynamic in another shooter.Though there probably is.
A very obscure one.
I mean there are enemies who react to damage in similar ways in some other games.
Btw, just submitted an update, should be posted once it's approved :)
Just letting everyone know it's still alive, a ton of stuff is being reworked. It's going to be quite different next update but in a good way :)
Good to know.
