How to Complete The Beast In Me
When you receive this quest from Claire, she'll tell you to meet her in her garage in Santa Domingo during the day. If it's not day time when you arrive, press the start button and advance the time to day.
Head inside the garage and talk to Claire — she's under the large vehicle in here.
Talk to her and she'll explain that she needs a driver for some races in Night City. After telling her you'll be her driver, two things happen:
- You're told you ned to wait a day for Clair to contact you. She'll contact you about one of the three qualifying races you need to win in order to qualify for the finals.
- You'll receive the objective, "Complete the Qualifying Races 0/3."
Fast forward the time by a day and you'll receive a message form Claire. The first race is in the City Center.
The Beast In Me: City Center Race
When you arrive to this race, call Claire. You can tell her you want to use your vehicle or hers. We chose to use Claire's vehicle because our car was not very fast. If you have a fast vehicle, you might consider using your own, but Claire's vehicle will be plenty to win the race.
- You must go through every checkpoint of the race in order to win. You cannot advance to the next checkpoint if you missed the previous one.
- There's not really too much to the actual race. There will be combat, but it won't affect you at all. That's because Claire is riding shotgun and will take care of shooting the enemy drivers. They don't really do anything to you or your vehicle.
- Because of the above, just focus on the driving. You must go through every checkpoint, which is easy to do if you just follow the yellow dotted line before you. Claire will make it easier by pointing out upcoming sharp turns.
- When you complete the race, you'll earn 242 EXP, 541 street cred and $2780.
Talk to Claire after the race and she'll offer to drive you back to her garage. Go with her. This concludes The Beast In Me: City Center.
The Beast In Me: Badlands Race
When you arrive to this race, call Claire. You can tell her you want to use your vehicle or hers. We chose to use Claire's vehicle because our car was not very fast. If you have a fast vehicle, you might consider using your own, but Claire's vehicle will be plenty to win the race.

- About a third of your way through the race, a sandstorm will begin: slow down and take it easy through here until the sandstorm subsides after the 19th checkpoint.
- This track is bumpy and your vehicle will be bouncing all over the place: focus on keeping your vehicle exactly on the yellow dotted line to avoid as many bumps on the track as possible.

The Beast In Me: Santa Domingo Race
When you arrive to this race, call Claire. You can tell her you want to use your vehicle or hers. We chose to use Claire's vehicle because our car was not very fast. If you have a fast vehicle, you might consider using your own, but Claire's vehicle will be plenty to win the race.

- There are a ton of sharp turns and quick curves on this track: try not to get too comfortable going to full speed because of this. You'll likely need to use your emergency brake (A/X) in order to successfully complete these turns and curves without completely stopping.
Talk to Claire after the race and she'll ask you to sit with her.
She'll open up about her deceased husband here. Your answers will lead to the same thing, but you're usually given a nice dialogue option and a more cold dialogue option.
When on the topic of killing Sampson, you can say, "Bastard won't finish the race alive," "my priority is winning," or, "sorry, Claire, but I can't help."
If you choose the first option, Claire will be happy. If you choose the second, Claire will not be happy, but the race will go on. This will also open up the possibility to help save Sampson's life in the next race. The third option ends the quest line.
After this, she'll offer to drive you back to her garage. Go with her. This concludes The Beast In Me: Santa Domingo.
Be sure to respond to Claire's message when she texts you later.
The Beast In Me: The Big Race
- You must stay close to Sampson so that Claire can damage his vehicle. Try to stay within 10 to 20 meters.
- About two-thirds of the way through the race, you'll see that you can either complete the race (which will make Claire mad and hostile during a later encounter with her) or follow Sampson (which will make Claire happy). Both will conclude The Beast In Me: The Big Race successfully.
- When you complete the race, you'll earn 242 EXP, 541 street cred and $2780.
The Beast In Me: Follow Sampson
Should you choose to follow Sampson during the Big Race, you'll find that Sampson crashes his vehicle and crawls out from under it.
You and Claire exit your vehicle and Claire will charge at Sampson, threatening to kill him.
Sampson will say the death of Claire's husband isn't her fault and you can select dialogue options to hear Sampson out. This will culminate in a decision that decides Sampson's life.
You can tell Claire to "Let him go," or you can tell her to "Do what you have to do." If you chose "My priority is winning" after the Santo Domingo race when speaking to Claire at the dam and you responded to her text message, you'll be given an additional dialogue option and if you follow that line of dialogue, you can convince Claire not to kill Sampson.
