Demon Hunters can draw through their deck extremely fast.
They also have Glaivetar to stack up even more card draw which they can delay until their combo turn unless their opponent manages to destroy it beforehand.
And even destroying the weapon before their combo turn could still benefit them in some cases because it gets them more into fatigue which will increase their dmg output. Unless they overdraw this card or die to fatigue dmg themselves they could probably still pull off the combo in most cases.
They also have access to Red Card which they can use to prepare for a huge combo turn or for removing a big minion that could block a lot of dmg otherwise. That card would be super strong and versatile in that deck imo.
Please tell me that i'm wrong with my assessment. I don't want this deck to be good.
Yoooo, this + Paraglide, are we getting a mill dh?
Curious effect, awful artwork.
Shaman + windfury into something big?
Shaman can't use this. You can only have one tourist card in your deck.
I believe best use for it is on empty deck + massive draw. But how to live enough long?
in wild it has at least Hemet, Jungle Hunter.
Or with multiple attacks like Multi-Strike or Warglaives of Azzinoth
I don't think the card is super hot.
If was "redirected to a random enemy instead" I could see it with cards like Warglaives of Azzinoth or something. You can hit a 12/12 three times and attempt to kill your opponent (or at least the 12/12), but that you actually have to take that damage really limits the card.
On the other hand, if you somehow find a way to generate this card in Warlock (Which I don't have confirmation, but knowing Blizzard I wouldn't be surprised if Tourist cards can't be generated for some reason), is literally a free The Demon Seed at least for 1 turn.
Tho thinking about that, you could play this on an empty deck, Draw 10billion cards, something that Demon Hunter can totally do without problem, And try to kill your opponent that way. But to do that you need more damage/Health to win the race + actually hit your opponent and not a random 3/3, so even in that scenario, is not that easy to do.
EDIT: I'm actually kinda stupid (I had a long day of work) and the card literally says that "redirects" the damage, so you don't take it, and in that case is a lot hotter than how I initially though. Fatigue could be an option, but still you need to kinda win on the spot or next turn you are going to be toasted.
Oh man, if only this was a Warlock card.
Oh well, grab a weapon and hit the highest attack minion you can!
I hope this card is super niche, just so I can watch my opponent get a super strong minion without thinking and get themselves killed.
I wonder how it interacts with Elite Tauren Champion
I forgot about this. That is a good point. If it works then it might be better for your opponent to just take the 8 damage instead of getting a surprise lethal damage.
If everything works as intended, the Bomb should explote at the end of your turn, which is legally your turn, so your opponent takes the damage. Tho saddly is "a random enemy" so like, you first need to spend your turn cleaning your opponent's board, and you need to do it without spending all your Mana (while playing a 5-Mana card). But I think that is a very straightforward interaction.
Exclusively because of this card, I think it’d be funnier if Going Down Swinging didn’t make you Immune.
Seeing the gameplan of Demon Hunters with Pirate Tokens with charge I doubting a control type Demon Hunter deck will emerge that include this and Priest cards which will be most likely control as well.
Fun gameplan is to get Windfury weapon from Ignis and swing twice at your opponent’s super buffed minions and hope they go face.
Good point. It seems extremely powerful with windfury at late game. Do we have any DH spells that damage us?
