This card is genius because at this point in the meta, almost every deck requires certain cards for their win condition, and every deck needs a good amount of card draw to be persistent. Some card draw specifies drawing spells. Some decks need to be no-duplicate or empty for cards like Reno or Mecha'thun. But most of all, compared to the upcoming Lor'themar Theron which gives them terror for what's in your deck, this counters their own play, albeit slowly. While I've seen this only used by Resurrect Priest once or twice, in any deck playing N'Zoth, the Corruptor, that second one bites the needle, and in a Shudderwock deck, the fear tumbles. Best played after you've equipped Sphere of Sapience, so you can even use your own Reno Jackson and Zephrys the Great, etc. It's a slow burn but if you're playing for control and can survive the game with a longer deck (e.g. Ambassador Faelin), cards that require heavy use of draw such as Jade Druid or any OTK deck will suffer. It's kind of like any C'Thun, the Shattered deck except that with good use of the board and health, you can survive even 30 damage, but Corrupted Bloods are more difficult to remove... even if they do play Skulking Geist, Steamcleaner, Archivist Elysiana or Kazakusan, Hemet, Jungle Hunter, Prince Liam or even worse Archbishop Benedictus (which will give them your Corrupted Bloods as well), as long as you've had it die, resummon with N'Zoth and then Shudderwock to escape their one or two deck-destroying means of removal at most. In short it's an assured win as long as you play right, and will put pressure on them like no other deck-controlling card does.
For a true big brain play later in the game, use Sir Finley, Sea Guide to put all the Corrupted Bloods that you rejected with Sphere of Sapience into your hand and therefore nigh impossible to draw :)
The Demon Seed ez
As a non WOW player, when I accidentally know the story behind Hakkar... Holy...
That flavor text is not even joke...
....I think his face looks a bit like a Kobold hehheh.
still one of my favorite legendaries from this expansion. Plenty of potential but expensive enough to stop it from becoming a major part of the meta game.
I really love this card <3
Sooo wouldn't Skulking Geist or even Hemet, Jungle Hunter would take care of those corrupted bloods?
This card and mechanics is the worst design I've seen since I started playing HS in Beta.
And also presents a huge BUG in a Mirror Match, if in the deck of both players there is a single copy of corrupt blood and you have already changed the deck with your opponent with King Tog, and the next turn your opponent draw a corrupt blood, this castes, take 3 damage and then puts two copies of it in it, but does not return to Cast more, that is, does not draw another card, now, then in the turn of the opponent plays its King Tog, a I have 1 corrupt card left, he passes me the two cards of him and he keeps 1 copy, he shoots me a Naturalize, and now if works as it should, you draw the card, teake 3 damage, put two copies and you draw the card again ...
I do not find any meaning to this card, it does not have any interaction with the rival, with druid you arrive 10 mana very quickly at the same time you draw the whole deck, you play and there is nothing else to do.
They have to modify the corrupt blood.
It casts when you draw it
Take 3 damage
You put two copies in the bottom of your deck, but you do not draw again this turn.
although it is a meaningless card and that goes against everything that supposedly happened to the hall of fame, cards that do not interact with the rival
If this were to stay true to WoW lore, the Corrupted Blood should persist between games until you lose a game and shuffle into your next opponents deck at the start of each game. Goes for both players.
This with Prince Liam.
'Nuff said.
Nope
That's the old version. See https://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Casts_When_Drawn
Anyone called Hemet, Jungle Hunter ?
Druid combo idea: King Togwaggle + Hakkar, the Soulflayer + Naturalize
And there should probably be a Dreampetal Florist in there too :)
The reason it says "After you have drawn" is that you can NEVER chain a bunch of these together.
You will take 3 damage. Draw something else or fatigue and only then another card is put into the deck.
It's not an OTK thing, it's a death by a thousand cuts kind of effect.
Ahhh, didn't know! Thanks for the info :)
gtfo druid trash nobody likes you
Soo Rogue has Necrium Blade to trigger it fast , then soo many Academic Espionage that wins the fatigue.
The flavor of this card alone is already enough for me to love it. I mean, how often is it that a Warcraft character incites a world-shattering pandemic that brought out the inner paramedics (and misery-loving trolls) within the WOW community and captured the interest of various medical experts who deemed the situation to be a decent simulation of the real world's reaction to a global disease?
Hakkar, you may be slower than a snail on sleeping pills, but for your role in Warcraft history, I salute you.
But yeah, from a gameplay standpoint, you probably suck. Sorry to hit you with the truth, buddy. No offense.
you're supposed to figure out a way to cheat this minion out cheap you don't just play it for 10 mana you scrub "10 mana lose the game." lmao you're bad
