Why doesn't the mages arcane explode do this, 1 damage aoe for 2 mana but no 1 mana summon
so imbalanced! needs to nerf!!!!!!
It is pretty overpowered, but nerfing is unnecessary because it's impactful, but not strong.
a 2 mana minion (average of 1 atk/1.5 def body) with a battle cry to do 1 damage to the opponents board, this card is insane!

Played with it a bit in my Mid and Aggro Shaman decks and I don't really like this card much. It doesn't perform well enough for me to justify taking it over 2x Lightning Storms or another form of board clear. Lightning Storm is still a better board clear IMO and since it also has synergy with Tunnel Trogg which is in every single Shaman deck it's the clear choice leaving this out in the cold. My 2 cents anyways.
Shaman has the easiest access to spell damage this makes me believe this card is actually good.. ghoul is quite good, this doesn't damage your minions, and gives you on average a 2/1, there are some CRAZY 1 drops.. none loses you the game BTW..
I think this card has a lot of potantial..

this card is upgraded version of arcane explosion .it's real handy against zoo.

Seems like more anti-zoo stuff, which makes sense. Also could be pretty good against smaller aggro minion decks. I think the 1 mana minion is kinda not that important. This seems like it could be good to play a turn before lightning storm, assuring 3 damage over two turns, with high roles doing 4 damage to enemy minions. If you got a spell power totem or minion and it survived during both spells, you could do 5 damage (possibly 6) over 2 turns to all enemy minions, without the crazy overload and self damage of elemental destruction.
This may prove to be too slow but in situations where what I suggested happens it could be insane.
It's not Power Creep if the old card is weak and it's not used anywhere.
Powercreep occurs when a new card is released, and players replace old cards with the new cards that are strictly better.
If Mages got this card instead, and used Arcane Explosion before this expansion, THEN it would have been a Power Creep. This is clearly not the case. The card is good and opens many possibilities for Shaman. This card, along with Spirital Claws and the other (bad) Shaman card, are clear hints of a new way to play Shaman: Control. Spell Damage instantly buffs every Shaman AoE (which aren't really good atm) and every damaging single target removal (not very good cards for Shaman), and this card would really benefit from Spell Damage, along with the obvious Spirit Claw.
