I was born and raised in Transylvania and grew up with stories about vampires, written by foreign writers. Now, as an adult, with the expertise gained from playing amid the ruins of the vampires’ castles, I believed it to be my turn to write a story about them.

Hunger by Knut Hamsun

Anonymous, The Epic of Gilgamesh

Ilona Andrews
“Yes. What is it, guilt, revenge, love, what?”
I swallowed. “I live alone.”
"And your point is?”
"You have the Pack. You’re surrounded by people who would fall over themselves for the pleasure of your company. I have no one. My parents are dead, my entire family is gone. I have no friends. Except Jim, and that’s more of a working relationship than anything else. I have no lover. I can’t even have a pet, because I’m not at the house often enough to keep it from starving. When I come crawling home, bleeding and filthy and exhausted, the house is dark and empty. Nobody keeps the porch light on for me. Nobody hugs me and says, ‘Hey, I’m glad you made it. I’m glad you’re okay. I was worried.’ Nobody cares if I live or die. Nobody makes me coffee, nobody holds me before I go to bed, nobody fixes my medicine when I’m sick. I’m by myself.”
Ilona Andrews, Magic Burns

“The only men ruthless enough to fight against tyranny were themselves inclined to it.”
Susan Wise Bauer, The History of the Ancient World: From the Earliest Accounts to the Fall of Rome

Alisyn Fae
So eager for death, Darkan said, a strange tonality to his voice. I will teach you the folly of courting it.
Alisyn Fae, Night In His Eyes

“Words are everything. Words give wings even to those who have been stamped upon, broken beyond all hope of repair.”

Naia Pard I wrote about "enemies to lovers" trope in a post on my blog: "A boy difficult to love, wanted by many but inaccessible to most."

Naia Pard I made a last post on the ACOTAR series by Sarah J. Maas. Here is a sneak peek: Ryshand is the modern knight in shinning armor that saves the maiden, from the dragon with which she is in a toxic relationship. The dragon is an overbearing Alpha male that goes by the name of Tamlin and occasional, literally, shifts into a monster. While Rhysand is poised and courteous, Tamlin is ruled by his emotions.
Feyre is the hero on a quest for adventure, but in her case the name of said adventure is love. Her true challenges are not the monsters that she has to fight in the fairy realm, but the choice she has to make between good and bad, in terms of relationship.

Thank you for accepting my friend request:) It`s hard to pick. Maybe the Kate Daniels series. I read it and reread it twice, at least.
