LA CARTE DU MARAUDEUR

I have to say that after all this time I have a bigger appreciation for the third book than I did before. And it was sadder than I realised. Knowing what's going to happen.
No matter how many times I read this, it's still amazing.

Je jure solennellement que mes intentions sont mauvaises.

Hayat The Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite of the HP series as well. This is the book that made me realise I'm a fan of HP forever.

I cannot say that it's my fave. But when I was younger I did not really like it but after reading it again and again, it found its way to my heart. And especially when you know what's going to happen in book 5 and those after it, it's just so bittersweet and you just cannot love Sirius more. Plus Lupin is the only good teacher of defence against the dark arts which has to count for something, right?

Even the worst of these is better than most books!

MischaS_ @Dita! Agreed. 😍

Paula (She Sniffs Books) Wait, wait, wait. You speak French?! I SPEAK French, too! Albeit badly, hahaha.

Well, my speaking is rather terrible but I understand quite well and reading Harry Potter in French is no problem at all. 😂🤦‍♀️Actually Harry Potter, mainly the fourth book, is the reason why I wanted to learn French.

Paula (She Sniffs Books) Oh, lord! I just sent you a message freaking out, thinking you were French. I hardly ever come across French people who read in English, hahahaha.

Just replied. 😂 There are actually some but yes, French people do love the French language. Which I cannot blame them for, everything sounds so nice in French.

(btw, tom marvolo riddle's name in French is Tom Elvis Jedusor!)

Paula (She Sniffs Books) Really?! I had no idea that was his name in French. I actually have all the Harry Potter books in French. Afraid to say, though...I haven't read them in French yet...opps, lol.
I find it really annoying to read in French because the verbs are different in storytelling. They're not the same as when you speak, so it really throws me off of what I'm actually reading. I actually had a discussion today with a Portuguese woman who knows Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, etc. She said that out of all the languages she knows, French is the hardest one. I agree, lmfao.

Mort Wow, French, huh?
Makes me think of a TV ad in my country a few years ago, where a guy and a girl is sitting on the porch, and he throws out words like "Escargot"...
The girl looks at him and says:
"I love it when you speak forren!"

That sounds like such a Czech ad. 😂

I'm still mind-blown by his name being that. 😂 I cannot blame you, those covers are gorgeous but the French books often have such a strange paper, books are very thick and the pages are fragile.
Yeah, I can agree on that, I'm currently learning Italian and it has nothing on French.
