Total War: Rome 2 Elevated With Fan Project Wars of the Gods

A new version of the great fan project Wars of the Gods - Ancient Wars, one of the most important mods for Total War: Rome II strategy, has been released.

Despite being almost a decade old, Total War: Rome II is still very popular. Suffice it to mention that yesterday's activity record on Steam was 6192 concurrent user. Modifications are helping to keep the game popular. One of the best, titled Wars of the Gods - Ancient Wars, has just received a new version.

This is a powerful mod that improves virtually every aspect of the game. After installing it, all factions appearing on the strategic map become playable. We get more than 1500 additional units - practically every nation received new forces. The balance of troops was also thoroughly improved as was the AI, especially during battles. Graphics and interface were also tweaked.

The update is numbered 10.6 and brings a number of fixes and changes.

  1. Bugs causing the AI to fail to recruit armies correctly in some situations have been fixed.
  2. In addition, the AI now conducts research on new technologies more efficiently and has access to larger sums of money.
  3. The AI has also gained in personality. It is more ruthless against weak enemies and more cautious when it has to face strong enemies.
  4. Diplomacy has been improved so that it has more importance in the gameplay and allows for easier political and trade alliances.
  5. The balance of weapons in battles has also been improved.

Wars of the Gods - Ancient Wars has been in development for five years. This project and Divide et Impera are currently the most important modifications to Total War: Rome II and anyone who wants to play this game today should install one of these projects.
