Take Two Shuts Down GTA Online Cheat Website, has Owners Donate to Charity

Take-Two has taken up the fight against cheats in GTA Online and contributed to the shut down of the LunaCheats website. At the same time, the creators of the website pledged to donate their profits to charity.

Cheats in GTA Online are a real scourge that makes players' lives miserable. Earlier we wrote about grassroots initiatives of users who harassed people relying on various types of such aids. As it turns out, Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar, is also fighting the problem. The company led to the shutdown of LunaCheats , a website that specialized in selling such cheating software. Additionally, the profits from this venture are to be donated to charity.

LunaCheats is currently inactive. After accessing it, only a short message with the following content appears:

We have to admit that this is an extremely beneficial PR move. Take-Two not only cracked down on one of the websites distributing cheats, making the lives of GTA Online's players at least a bit easier but also decided to donate the profits to a good cause.

It is worth noting that recently the fight against cheaters is gaining momentum. Less than two weeks ago Bungie and Riot Games established a partnership that aims to eliminate the creators of software that enables cheating in games.
