It's no secret that Jean-Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal weren’t fond of each other. However, they were able to turn verbal skirmishes into forceful ones. In addition, the men were able to enrich themselves from a conflict that began in 1991, when Seagal questioned Van Damme's fighting skills. The latter then decided to privately challenge the American to a fight, who refused, claiming that Van Damme was drunk at the time and would only be able to fight him when he sobered up.

The opportunity was apparently created for them by a producer from Sony Pictures, who wanted to handle the promotion of the fight between Van Damme and Seagal. The duel was to take place in Las Vegas, and the actors were to receive $20 million each for it, according to Belgian actor, who also revealed in an interview with The Telegraph that Seagal didn’t accept the offer.

They were having an idea to have a fight between me and Steven at The Mirage [the Las Vegas casino resort]. Twenty million each. He didn’t take the fight.

So the fight didn't happen, but if it had, however, who would have won – Jean-Claude Van Damme or Steven Seagal? The Belgian rushed to answer this question, explaining how he would have handled his fellow fighter.

If him and I fight, I run faster than him – much faster. I would run away. He’s going to try to catch me, he’s going to get out of shape. I come back and fight. Do you like the technique?

As you can see, Van Damme sounds confident of his victory in this duel. What do you guys think, which action movie star would emerge victorious from this fight?
