Call of Duty is such a huge franchise that it played a major role in the acquisition of Activision Blizzard King by Microsoft last year. No wonder that everyone wants to have their own CoD at home, sometimes to the degree of soul-crushing the developers. Ubisoft and their recently released, free-to-play title XDefiant want to tackle the action shooter market badly. What seems to be a standard in this genre already, loadout system is also present in this production. Resembling Gunsmith from previously mentioned Call of Duty it allows for customising firearm to your needs. If you would like to learn what’s the best combination for an ACR, a well-rounded assault rifle, here you will find some inspiration.

The best ACR build in XDefiant

Adaptive Combat Rifle, or ACR for friends, is a great weapon that many players loved in legendary Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 from 2009. Many fans rejoiced knowing that this gun will be available in XDefiant, too. Let’s get the most out of it!

Bear in mind that the loadout you apply to your gun has to compliment your gameplay, or you will have to change your playstyle to draw out the weapon’s strengths. Different attachments can work for different people, so I would encourage you to experiment with what is the best for you, yet here you will find an inspiration of what you can aim for.

There is no denying that XDefiant is not a tactical shooter like, for example, Ready or Not. It’s a fast-paced, action packed, high adrenaline, competitive FPS. In such games mobility is key, so let’s accustom our ACR to be able to strafe, thus dodge bullets, more efficiently, shall we?

It is possible to use only 5 attachments, so let’s go for the following:

  1. Front rail: Leather Wrapper
  2. Optics: Reflex
  3. Magazine: Quick Mag
  4. Rear grip: Leather Wrapper
  5. Stock: Lightweight

Since this gun is great when it comes to recoil control and high output damage, we don’t need to bother with that. However, if you would like it to spew out bullets a bit faster and you are cool with stock optics, you can exchange Reflex for Rapid Fire Barrel to get an extra oomph. Also, if you prefer faster reload times, you can switch Quick Mag for Fast Mag, but be prepared to deal with more recoil.

This build gives you amazing speed while aiming down sights, outpacing even stock MP7. By making more agile ACR build, you get a great mixture of high speed and firepower without drawbacks of SMGs like damage falloff due to limited effective range.

Additionally, bear in mind that all of this is subject to change as the balance patches might alter how the attachments work or their benefits’ (and drawbacks) values. Also, more gear can come out improving the build even further, so keep an eye out for it. Till then, let’s hope it will grant you many victories and tremendous K/D ratio. Good luck!
