Unreal HD Textures for the Direct X 11 renderer is a mod for  Unreal, created by AHaigh01.

Description:

Now 4K - The updated and completed version of the Unreal HD textures is now at version 3.5. Almost all textures received graphical improvements. Textures color and shading have been made closer to the originals. Finer detail texturing has been added.

The "normal" UTX versions of the HD textures offer the best performance and compatibility, however: The DX11 renderer offers some advantages for the S3TC HD textures in this pack, especially if you are working with UnrealED or experimenting with the textures.

1. The textures work for both Unreal and Unreal Tournament - separate versions are not needed
2. The textures don't replace the original low res .UTX files - UnrealED will run as normal
3. The original textures will be seen in-game with renderers other than DX11
4. The HD textures don't take memory away from the (limited) game memory - the video card takes on the memory load of the textures.
5. The user can customize and experiment with the individual .DDS files
6. Model skins can also run as external .DDS files, allowing for online use of HD skins - stay tuned for future releases

Instructions:

Get DirectX11 Renderer first. Then extract the archive with Unreal HD Textures for the Direct X 11 renderer into game’s main folder.
