Been drawn to this tabletop game/universe called 'Infinity' by this group Corvus Belli. Basically this galaxy has been largely divided up by rival groups/conglomerates/governing bodies. PanOceania, Yu Jing, Haqqislam, Ariadna, etc. Ariadna is one that I'm growing a bit fond of, as it's pretty much the first big planet colonization effort that humanity took... but contact got lost with them for decades (maybe even a century) and they've become a begrudging alliance of various different cultures that have had to come together to form this army of misfit militias... more or less. There are a few comics about it too.

Playing the rather fun 'It Returned To the Desert', a spiritual successor/remake of the Cinemaware Classic 'It Came From The Desert'. I'd suggest turning the time limit down to 'none' until one gets acquainted with all the various systems at hand.
