Being the maniac that I am, I decided to build a fourth PC and as I'd not used the newer AMD chips (7000) series, I thought I'd give it a go.Having built my Intel build on MSI previously and an AMD build on ASUS, I thought I'd try the AMD offering by MSI and, while I'd have loved a Carbon, money/value is a thing and this seemed to tick the boxes - 4 NVME's, PCI-E 5.0, tons of USB ports and so on.Arriving in a box with a nice hole/dent in it - I checked if it was damaged but whatever went through hadn't hit the motherboard - I proceeded with my installation (over a day or so.....).I will state - the I/O shield is sharp as heck - I sliced my thumb open quite a bit due to a slip (hence the day or so cos......yeah). However, fitting the board into the chassis wasn't an issue, nor was removing the CPU retainer and putting another one in (I had to test if this was a better solution).First thing I noticed - thought it was dead. Like dead dead. Had 2 lights indicating CPU and RAM weren't good. Oh crap, I thought. However I left it on for like 30 seconds or more and then it started (phew. Positive note - didn't go boom so there's that). Gave me the "New CPU" message, rebooted and as I had a newer BIOS, I flashed that.Once started, installed Windows and everything went fine - no issues as such. Still not sure on the CPU speed as yet (I haven't seen it boost, but not seen it not boost, unlike the Intel CPU I had which just seems to be perma-boosted). It also asked me to install the MSI software which you can pick n choose without a DVD or USB (I assume it picked that up motherboard side, which is a very nice touch). Seems very stable otherwise - no issues with anything thus far.Criticisms - BIOS/Startup speed. My older 5000 series AMD build starts MUCH faster than this from power on. I haven't seen/spotted a "Fast Boot" option for the BIOS, so if there is one, it's not so obvious which is a shame. Also the first NVME didn't seem to like having an SSD with its own heatsink - so I'm booting from the 4th one which is fine (it's not a V5 one) but.....kinda not how I'd like it.That said - build went well, very stable thus far and for the low price, it's fine. Yes I'd prefer a Carbon, but at over £150 difference currently, hard to justify it.

It also asked me to install the MSI software which you can pick n choose without a DVD or USB (I assume it picked that up motherboard side, which is a very nice touch). Seems very stable otherwise - no issues with anything thus far.

Criticisms - BIOS/Startup speed. My older 5000 series AMD build starts MUCH faster than this from power on. I haven't seen/spotted a "Fast Boot" option for the BIOS, so if there is one, it's not so obvious which is a shame. Also the first NVME didn't seem to like having an SSD with its own heatsink - so I'm booting from the 4th one which is fine (it's not a V5 one) but.....kinda not how I'd like it.

That said - build went well, very stable thus far and for the low price, it's fine. Yes I'd prefer a Carbon, but at over £150 difference currently, hard to justify it.

Bought this to do my 1st build, board looks nice, easy to set up, wasn't expensive like other brands out there, it connects together nicely with the msi gpu I bought aswell, I'm new to all this so not sure what to expect hopefully it's a good brand and I have no issues with it but once I get more items for the build I will update this review once it's up and running.

Update:
3 months on and it fails to recognise my 2nd nvme drive, consistently getting BSOD and can't run my expensive DDR5 RAM at full speed.

I think the high review score here is because they grouped it with the other models that actually do work, but the PRO X670-P WIFI is an absolute pile of s**t.

Original review:
First off, it doesn't come with much, a couple of sata cables and a few of the most stupid M.2 "locker" screws that are supposed to lock your M.2 drives in better. Pointless and fiddly.
The MSI software is useless and may or may not actually install depending on your luck. If it does install it probably won't do what you want, the fan section on mine stopped working and would instead load the Mystic light feature so I can no longer set fan speeds.

Then we get the random BSOD and total failure to post, I had to use the Bios flash option and the button on the back that it luckily has otherwise it would have been sent back.
The bios is fairly configurable and it boots pretty quick if it recognises your RAM, if it's not recognised it will sit at a black screen for ages before finally posting.

4x M.2 ports is good, and the gen5 one is nice, which was my main reason for buying, but overall not recommended.

An expensive motherboard but worth it if you will use the extra features. By far the biggest draw for this board (as another reviewer pointed out) is that is does not take away from the GPU lanes if all NVME/Sata slots are populated. This is massive compared to most other AM5 boards if you hold a lot of data/media. I originally had a Strix motherboard but felt like I could never use the 4th slot, which kind of defeated the point of having it.

The post code screen is handy, that it tells you the CPU temp. If RGB matters , the Dragon logo looks great, in a subtle way, that I prefer. There are lots of connections and all at the edges of the board so you shouldn't have any problems. The primary GPU slot is super low down, if your case has fans at the bottom they are literally two inchs away, its great for making sure your GPU never has to spin up and become noisy.

The one click Bios is as dependable as ever. Top tip, put your CPU in Eco mode. Significantly less power and noise and little to no performance loss (in fact its a gain for me as it boosts more consistently). With my 7600x I prefer 65 TDP. The Bios has been updated and it now boots 50% faster, which is great.

The downsides (as there is with any board) are as follows. The board is slightly tacky on the back, looks uniform but is likely some residue left over from the factory. Washers under the NVME heatsinks look a little cheap and liable to be lost. No paper manual. Only small nit picks, but I'm considering the price point when writing this.

Overall a great board, so I'm happy to give this a 4 out of 5 stars. Excellent compared to other AM5 boards and "good" in the wider PC ecosystem. Should last many years, with AMD's continued CPU socket support. Recommended.

Great top of the line motherboard to pair with a 7800X3D and ddr5 cl30 ram.

Went with this as it has all of the features you would want, especially a debug led error code display to help troubleshoot any issues with more accuracy than the four standard led debug leds. Plenty of connectivity for sata and m.2 drives and rear connections as well. Bonus is the primary gpu slot is positioned lower allowing for better clearance to any cpu cooler, especially if you use any offsets to help position the cpu cooler heatsink over any am5 hotspots over the ccds.

Also a nice understated design.

Most thoughtful AM5 motherboard. All of the three expansion slot connected to the CPU and all of them gen 5 compatible, really good memory overclocking potential in the 4 dimm class, 6x m.2 slot with 4 onboard and 2 others gen 5 on the add-on card, very robust VRM, asynchronous BCLK, 10GbE LAN, great rear IO, easy to navigate in the BIOS, looks and feels a premium product.

It is one of the most expensive AM5 motherboard and even this, it is still not feels absurdly overpriced then the other AMD motherboards in this price class.

No full manual included, which is stupid.

Make sure you update BIOS before turning on EXPO on BIOS or it will give you nonstop BSOD when booting up to windows.
None of the M2 slot support SATA, only NVme.
Enable Memory Context Restore in BIOS under DRAM setting for faster booting.
Memory Context Restore is the new FAST BOOT for MSI I think.
M2 slots don't disable SATA 3 and 4, not sure about the 1, 2, 5, 6. Didn't try.
This motherboard has onboard graphic.

Good luck,
