Since 2018, my brother and I have been trying to figure out ways to bring the AI reactions/functions to the player to help give more life/immersion in gameplay. For example, we have always felt that the story and MP character's identity can sometimes be compared to that of a terminator when in a combat scenarios, and may not look as real due to the lack of reactive animations and vocal lines.
This mod thanks to Zef, a good friend from our discord community, gives the player the ability to react to friendly characters who are injured in combat or killed. He has been developing this mod with us for a while now, and we are excited to finally share it with the modding community in hopes of bringing more immersive gameplay to GTA V!

This mod features an in game Voice Selector that you can cycle between Franklin, Trevor, Michael, Police, Gang Members, Custom Voice and a silent option. The default key is E (69), but can be changed in the config file.
You can also change the type of reaction, by editing the "true or false" on "activate_after_every_shot" in case you want less reactions as it will only react to dead friends once set to false.
The custom voice line option will require you to specify the exact audio name and voice lines to pull inside the config file before selecting. (This will require common knowledge using Open IV to get appropriate file names.) This is meant to be for addon peds who use replaced voices or for people who want a specific story character/ped line when a friend is shot nearby. There is an example already set in the config file, and you will need to follow the guided text exactly for it to work properly.
Refer to the added video added above for how to install and use the script correctly!

This would be so cool to see the reaction part implemented for multiplayer characters and used as a server sided script for FiveM! for example if any player or npc gets killed near your player they react to the death weather its an enemy, friend, or random npc
@Loud Blowin Chungus That would be awesome! I had that same thought or idea when it was being developed too, only I don't use FiveM sadly so I am not sure what the player is consider in a multiplayer state. If it doesn't work currently for FiveM player reactions to other players then we might give it a try in a future update for this mod! I believe it can be set to include all types like the enemy(hate), friendly, respect, companion, neutral, like, and dislike relationships. So it might be able to work like that idk though. Thanks for the suggestion, we might try it someday soon!

Fantastic, well done! I suggested looking into this back in the day— hopefully you get reactions to vehicles working and love to see Player enter injured state (basically a continuation of JediJosh’s last stand mode but with standing animation too when they hold their chest/arm) with writhe at low health.
I would say euphoria bullet reactions too as there was a script doing this (I still have it thankfully) but the author took in down for some reason and disappeared. Crying shame.
Also flinch reaction to being actively shot at like NPCs
@Wolfx101 Thanks bro! I actually have Zef working on the flinch reaction mod right now as a matter of fact! We were gonna try and do the exit to aim animation mod next, but we realized its gonna take a while cause there is a lot more scripting for that, so I had him do the flinch one instead! As for the bullet euphoria script, me and Zef would have to discuss how to do it, but essentially we could revive JediJosh920's player euphoria script via some slight editing of his script code! We've already been using his past scripts as a base reference for this latest buddy shot mod! The injured state could work too, and I haven't brought it up to him, but its something we can discuss for the future!

@TioPakito You just have to have companions with you and initiate combat for which they will be shot and you will react to them either holding a 1 handed and 2 handed weapon. Be aware that some scripts may not be compatible with this one as gameplay fixes is one that I had to remove in order for my game to work with this script.
It doesnt work with GSW2
