Hey again, Sproutling fans!

We're very excited to share that Green Again is taking part in Tacticon 2024, a digital Steam convetion which seeks to highlight some of the best new & upcoming strategy games and the wonderful gamers that play them!

The event runs from today (July 18th) to July 22nd, and you can see the full list of all the games included in the celebration here[www.tacticon.games].

Naturally, we wanted to provide an update alongside the event itself, so we've got some new features coming to Green Again, too! You can check out the full changelog below, but shall we take a look at the highlights?

Multi-Swapping and Crop Updates

Crop management just got even easier! You can now choose to change all crops on adjacent fields of the same crop type. This can be toggled on or off so you can customise your experience depending on your playstyle.
Crops now also provide different amounts of food and a bigger resource yield variety, depending on the crop choice too, and you'll have more tactical crop choices - make sure to use them wisely!

Rainfall

Rainfall will now be an unlockable weather type in the Town Zone, and once unlocked, will mean that your fields are automatically watered during rain. There's a new objective in the Town Zone which is related to restoring rain, so keep an eye out for this when playing!

Quality of Life Updates

Naturally, there are plenty of Quality of Life changes in this new update, including the ability to scroll, zoom, and interact with the game whilst on the pause screen, lots of new sound effects for workers, robots, and ambience, and a new streamlined experience in the Town Zone map, with ancient buildings now closer together.

• Fix overly eager homeless warnings when replacing houses
  
• Separate icons for crops missing prerequisites and those that are unlockable but hasn't been unlocked
  
• Fix several issues related to tutorial reset and progress
  
• Fix worker disappearing at unreachable bridge end when building bridge
  
• Fix creative mode button shown again when reloading a save with unlocked creative
  
• Fix houses and flaggables leaving non-terraformed spots when cleared while their hex is still within hub radius
  
• Fix season icons and loading overlay scaling issues
  
• Fix unlocking creative in one zone unlocking it in other zones
  
• Fix visible pods button in town zone
  
• Fix EMP pods not cleaned up when overlapping
  
• Fix float saving issues related to locale (likely reason for volume settings not being saved for some players)
  
• Fix workers drawn under buildings when zoomed out
  
• Fix unknown zones marked as completed in tooltip after completing an actual zone
  
• Fix trade button enabled too soon
  
• Fix issues caused by removing powered down building
  
• Reduce camera panning jitter on very low FPS
  
• Various tutorial and UI text tweaks

We're back with another monthly round-up for you! June was an exciting month for Green Again, and July is looking to be pretty amazing too, so let's get into it, shall we?

Steam NextFest

We were completely overwhelmed by the love, support, and wishlists we received during Steam NextFest. We saw lots of content creators sharing streams and gameplay videos from Green Again, lots of love on Twitter, and that lovely feeling that is lots of new Sproutling fans joining our community.

Demo Update

It felt natural to us to go into our first ever NextFest with a brand new update for our demo, so that's what we did! We gave Green Again a brand new tutorial, a new lighting system, and new music for the event, and it's all available now - if you haven't had a chance to play yet, we'd love to hear your thoughts when you do!

Tacticon 2024

It would be impossible for us to not mention something we're excited for next month, so...Green Again will be taking part in Tacticon 2024! We'll be joining over 100 titles in a celebration dedicated to uplifting strategy games of all kinds from July 18-22.
