While the story isn't my favorite, the visuals are decent and the surfing mechanics are really fun.
Overall, it's a small casual game that is enjoyable enough to be picked up during a sale.

this was much better than I expected to be, especially story and character wise.

some dialogue hit really hard and is extremely relatable, both for the overarching plot and situation of their world, but also some family relationship and tension. there is genuine quality in the story of this game, also highlighted by excellent voice acting.

the game looks pretty good and has a good art style and great color palette, the music is also fitting the mood of the particular scene or quest pretty well.

as for the gameplay, it is mixed. by itself, it is almost entirely focused on smooth and unpunishing high speed movement flow. it is very fun to move around and explore in this game. platforming is also pretty fun because of the movement. however, the combat is very VERY basic, and from a gameplay perspective, once you've played an hour, you've seen everything the game has to offer in that regard. playing the middle parts of the game, where not much of the story is revealed yet and what you have to do is a collection of uninteresting fetch quests, can get a bit tedious because of the gameplay depth being unable to accomodate the game's length.

however, when I started getting bored of going around, the story picked up immensely for a final act that was really interesting and rewarding.

i would heavily recommend this game, however on sale as the full asking price is too much for the 5/6 hours this game has.
