A game that takes perhaps sixty or seventy hours to play just one campaign, with seven different factions, that I've felt compelled to reach 100% completion on. That alone should be a testament to the hold that Terra Invicta has on my brain and my imagination.

Having played this game, nothing else comes close. The depth of detail, of the strategic interplay, the extensive research that went into the background and the setting. If I want to really sit down and immerse myself in the management of an entire planet - nay, an entire solar system - I open up Terra Invicta. When I finish a campaign, I feel a profound sense of accomplishment that nothing you can do in a shorter timespan or with less complexity can hope to match. The final culmination of a grand design set into motion long ago, resulting in your victory against all odds and the gravest of existential threats.

Are there some negatives? Certainly. Some aspects feel not quite complete, the story could use more polish, and I very much hope for multiplayer and other game modes. The soundtrack, while powerful, is far too short on tracks for a game of this length and grows repetitive.

But still, it's an unforgettable experience, and a game that I will never regret picking up, and one I eagerly look forward to additional developments on. I hope you will feel the same.

Yeah, it's a great strategy game. It takes a long time to finish, about 50 hours to learn and has a lot of delayed gratification.

Repetitive. Confusing. Boring. Grindy.

At around 10 hours of game-play I was expecting something to, you know, happen. I play a lot of grand strategy. I'm used to the slow burn of this genre, but come on. All I've done is sent agents around building influence, buying the occasional buff for an agent, watch the slowest research tree in the history of gaming, and I got one piece of a space station into orbit. Maybe at 100 hours something will happen, but this game isn't going to take up valuable hard drive space until then.
