Shortcuts

CheckUser is the process of checking information about two or more users (including named users and IPs). Special users are able to check if two or more accounts have been used from the same computer. These users also see User agents. This can help them decide if two accounts are related in the way described above. It is also possible to see if a user is editing from an open proxy.

On this page, users can request some users or IPs to be checked. Good reasons should be given for why a checkuser is needed; you should provide links which show the questionable edits, etc. Questions should usually be created so that they can be answered by yes or no. Responses will be short in order to comply with Wikipedia privacy policy. Sensitive information (like the IP addresses used by an account) are usually not reported. The results are not always clear, and a decision should not be made only on the basis of checkuser results.

Use of the tool

This tool is to be used to fight vandalism, to check for sockpuppet abuse, and to limit disruption of the project. It must be used only to prevent damage to the project.

The tool should not be used for political control; to apply pressure on editors; or as a threat against another editor in a content dispute. There must be a valid reason to check a user. Note that alternative accounts are not forbidden, so long as they are not used in violation of the policies (for example, to vote more than once or to make it look like more people support an idea). Checkusers will refuse a request, if the reason for checking is not good enough to warrant the use of the tool.

There is an IP overlap (both users using the same IP) of Gigi1233 and Jauwad2024, Bamalli01 and Hafsatu23; the other users use similar netwoks (1-2 of the 4 IP numbers different), but there's no direct relation. I would like to inform that recent enwiki SPI results (w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/HinduKshatrana) suggests that there are more accounts related to आभीरवाटक (3rd user, also known as Rao Devilal Pratap (RDP), w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Rao Devilal Pratap, already blocked by user:Bsadowski1). The 2nd user has activity overlaps at Majhraut (Ahir) with the RDP accounts. The 1st and 3rd user has activity overlaps at Yadav and Rao Sahab, both frequently revert the edits by others at these pages as same as the other RDP accounts. Tyla accounts

As seen in the page history, Tyla has been often targeted by block evasion VPNs, etc. for massive text addition. This is done by the Tyler Antonius accounts (see the article's deleted revisions for past accounts, Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2023/Tyler Antonius, Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2024/Tyler Antonius, Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2024/Tyler Antonius (2nd nomination)), and they are targeting articles with similar names. A new account has started massive text addition here as well as the previous accounts. Therefore, I request comparison with the recently blocked/locked previous accounts. The 1st user (TSJ) has WP:ONESTRIKE, and the 2nd user (KH) is reported in the relevant enwiki SPI (w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Thakor_Sumant_Sinhji_Jhala/Archive#03_July_2024). The 3rd user (RP) has landed on Palia Koli (QD G5 applied by user:Operator873), and w:Palia Koli suggests TSJ involvement. Please compare KH and RP. Reliance GCS accounts again

This CU request originally came from Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2023/Reliance Global Corporate Security. As the result, Sentientgrineer (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · SUL · CA · checkuser (log)) and Armgodgun (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · SUL · CA · checkuser (log)) have a CU-block by user:Eptalon. However, w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Nittin_Das/Archive#29_April_2024 suggests their recent re-emergence. I have already blocked those that are already confirmed via the recent enwiki SPI. I also blocked an IP range (/64) that is involved in article recreation. Please check the latest account that I found in this month. Ahir and Rajput accounts

As can be seen in the page histories, these articles have a long history of content addition and reverts. Recent editors include locked accounts, enwiki CU-confirmed accounts, enwiki range-blocked IPs, etc. Now we have another user (the 1st account) involved in drastic content addition and reverts as well as the previous history. Umro Ayyar - A New Beginning accounts

As concerned in w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Nauman335, there are too many accounts in this subject (including the enwiki draft version). Please also note that one IP user has a checkuserblock-wide in enwiki, the 3rd user is blocked per the enwiki SPI and the 2nd account is also mentioned in the same SPI. I would also like to note that the 1st user has made Zard Patton Ka Bunn, and w:Zard Patton Ka Bunn is deleted as CSD G5 per w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Nauman335, the same SPI as well as above. Please also note that the same IP range is also involved in this article. However, since the 1st user is currently not registered for enwiki, I cannot use the SPI report. I have more updates about the 1st user. They made Jaan Nisar (2024) (special:redirect/logid/2761385), entry with unusual and unneeded disambiguation as well as w:Jaan Nisar (2024). After I moved the page to clear the disambiguation (Jaan Nisar), I noticed that the 1st user and 3rd user has a made a copy of w:Draft:Jaan Nisar. When checking the deleted revisoins of Jaan Nisar, I also found that the same IP range is also involved here. Please also note that the author of w:Draft:Jaan Nisar is already blocked at enwiki due to the same SPI classification (w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Nauman335). To pile on to this, Zard Patton Ka Bunn was originally created on enwiki by a Nauman335 sock - [1]. Barzakh was copied from w:Draft:Barzakh_(TV_series) which was created by an IP in a range where Nauman has been known to be active, see [2] which was created by a Nauman sock then finished by an IP in this range, which is somewhat common from Naumann as socks get blocked. See w:Special:Contributions/223.123.0.0/19, looking at the activity of that range that hits Pakistani film/television, you nearly always find a Nauman sock in recent past and their recent edits are to link to the articles created here by socks. Vanderpumpstan (June 2024)

Cedricmartinez is a new account that's created several articles that are massively oversourced, all about people that are connected to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Many of the sources used are from Bravo TV, which is common for Vanderpumpstan articles, as is the extreme details and sources. Compare the article style to other articles in the last version from a previous Vanderpumpstan sock - [3], [4], [5]. New editors don't create massive articles like that, with the massive number of sources, for people that generally have marginal roles in the various shows. The user name, Cedricmartinez, is also the name of someone connected to The Real Housewives of BH, which Vanderpumpstan has done before (see 0ddotnek, which is Ken Todd backwards, husband to Lisa Vanderpump). From prior checks, CU may be a bit marginal but I feel the behavior is more than enough to block as a sock. I've added four of the most recent socks to the CU list for comparison. Joshua Obedeke (JO) has a global record of spams related to malala.org, etc., at here and other English sister projects. Due to such activities, JO is already blocked at enwiki. Now I found that Olori Ayilala Paparazi (OAP) made an user page about malala.org but the page starts with Joshua Akporobaro Obedeke (JO's full name). As concerned in Special:Diff/9575212, we have too many accounts involved in over-reverting at this article, and some accounts have very low edit counts. Can the appearance of so many new accounts concentrate in one article in a short term less than 3 months? SeatedSnow (SS) is the latest account among this request, and their edit summary of special:diff/9580657 is a copy of our admins (special:diff/9570001).
