Submissions for Solaris Nova
Solaris Nova offers writers the chance to be published by one of the UK’s leading independent SFF publishers.
Submission criteria
Before submitting your novel to us, please check that your novel meets the following criteria
Your novel must be science fiction, fantasy, or horror.
Your novel must be an original work of fiction, written wholly by you without the assistance of AI technology.
Your novel must be at least 60,000 words but no longer than 90,000 words.
Your novel must be complete, polished and formatted in 12 pt, Times New Roman, double spaced.
Your novel must be uploaded in an acceptable file format – Microsoft Word or PDF only please.
You must be at least 18 years of age to send a submission.
What we want in your submission
Have these ready before proceeding
The full manuscript of your novel, polished and formatted in 12pt, Times New Roman, double spaced.
A full synopsis of your novel.
A cover letter which should outline the story of the book in a back-cover blurb style, describing the premise, plot, characters and hook. It should also include an explanation of why you’re submitting to us, a short bio, and at least two comparative titles published in the last 5 years.
If your novel is part of a planned series, please tell us if other books are written and submit synopses for these too and an overall series outline, including how many books and your rough timescale for completion of these titles should your submission be successful.
