The purpose of this Community Charter is to serve as a guide and as a reflection of existing rules and procedures that govern our community. As well, this will reflect existing resources for editors to learn technical details of editing such as formatting and article components. This will also reflect a variety of venues where discussion of new ideas and development of future resources can occur. In addition, this will list the resources and process for dispute resolution.

Nothing in this charter document is binding in any way. Any principles or rules that are binding on the community arise only from established documents that may be referenced herein. Any such policies and rules have emerged via a long process of community discussion and consensus, and therefore that is the only process by which any such documents can be changed.

Below is a brief outline of the current resources documents avenues and other items as referenced above.

I) Core policies of the community: The Wikipedia: Five pillars have long been held as a core of the rules which arise from the consensus of the community.

II) Other rules and policies: Numerous rules and policies exist throughout Wikipedia. you can consult guidelines on Style, and the Help pages, and also numerous rules accepted by the community.

IV) Community discussion and consensus. There are several established resources for community discussion and collaboration. the major ones appear below. additionally, each article has its own talk page.

V. Dispute resolution. numerous resources exist for dispute resolution. editors can request mediation or can go before the arbitration committee

VII. Inter-wiki collaboration

  • The community intends to embark upon a new path for interwiki collaboration on a broad scale, encompassing numerous wikipedias and languages., as such, it will utilize the resources of the MOVEMENT STRATEGY FORUMS, with their inherent ability to provide language translation instantly, across all languages and all cultures.

VIII. Resources for group efforts. Numerous types of groups have been established and venues for editors to meet and collaborate around topics, or else around specific functions.

A WikiProject will be established for promoting and devloping this charter. a Charter Development Committee will serve as lead coordinators of this project. any changes to this charter can be discussed in the sandbox for this committee, where the community can comment and reach consensus.
